I’m not even necessarily a beginner, but I’m confused. She said to double the first round to make 12 stitches. Then she said “once you have 24 stitches”…like wait what? You said 12. Are we doubling it once more? And then she says to keep going after that which I’m assuming means to keep at 24 stitches until you get to round 7, because then she just says “once you’re at round 7”. Like how did we get there? As a full beginner this would be super confusing! If I’m correct, then I think I should be fine, but again that was hard enough for me as more of an experienced beginner. Definitely needs more explaining. Not even too much more, just more than “keep going” lol.

Ok so the only reason I figured it out is I make a lot of plushes but the pattern for row 3 is single crochet 1, increase repeat all the way around (18) row 4 single crochet 2 increase repeat around (24)
Row 5 and 6 single crochet all the way around (24)
      Row 7 single crochet 2 decrease (18)
Row 8-10 single crochet 1 all the way around (18)
She is assuming you will download the free pattern so this is more of an overview

The decrease rows are also confusing. I figured it all out crocheter of 20 years but in the end an absolute adorable item!!!!

NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLY! I’ve been crocheting for years and this was hard to keep up with. You have to listen to everything she’s saying to catch how many rows and where to go. You also need to know how to increase without instructions. I would recommend this for experienced crocheters. I stopped making this when I finished row 4. Hoping to find a beginner friendly mushroom.

Just in case no one saw the free pattern is in the description.. without knowing that this is my thoughts and feelings on the video alone....
Ive been crocheting for 3 years. This was difficult to follow but not impossible. Regular increases
    Regular decreases etc..
Make a magic ring or follow her instructions to start with 6 stitches.
Regular increases: increase every stitch = 12
Sc inc = 18... 2 sc inc = 24.. and so on sc around 2 times than decrease.
Now do the same with dec. 2sc dec = 18 ... sc dec = 12... dec around to finish..
It seems she stopped at 12 and sc across 2 rounds for 9 and 10 to finish the stem.
The head is the same thing but you don't decrease. And it has to be bigger than 24. Maybe 30 or 36 stitches around.. sc around to make it go down..
The bottom of the head is just a circle same concept stopping at whatever the head finishes with 30 or 36 maybe.
Thats what I can take from this video... I will figure out exactly what the pattern is eventually but this is intermediate stuff for sure..

Would've been nice if there was some written instructions and not just verbal ones on the vid..so u can track what row she is on...yeah definitely not a beginner vid

Why did you say how to when you are not showing us? Your just saying what we have to do and some of us don't even know what we are doing.

This is not for beginners, at least tell us what to do in each round! Not everyone wants to go download a pdf from your website. I rewound to see if I missed something but you skipped so many steps!

Started great till I got the pro tip and it all went to crap so sad I had to just stop watching the video and just go by the pattern really hoped you showed each round and exactly how to do the pattern then just an over view of it and I see it’s not even correct in some parts

Don’t make a video if you don’t know what you are doing. Single crochet, Decreasing from 24, gets you 16, not 18.

This is honestly the worst tutorial. It is not step by step and does not explain what she is doing. Very upsetting

I was going to subscribe, but most of the tutorial is not there, I love to support RUclipsrs, but a beginner would definitely not be able to follow this. I’m not trying to be mean, but I hope you will take this comment as

Video is terrible she just left us to try and figure out how to do the missing steps. Everything was not put together well. Definitely not for beginners

This is not for beginners. There is no explanation on how to actually make it, she's not teaching how to make it and expects us to know what's going on.

This is a great pattern, but please be more informative on how you're doing each row! Aswell as the cap. Paraphrasing by just telling the viewer to tweak something isn't helpful, it made the pattern much or confusing. If I was a beginner; you would have lost me at row 3. great video though really cute, I do love my little mushroom buddy, but please do consider my constructive criticism. :)

You can't say this is for beginners, show row 2 then suddenly be on row 7. You need to take us row by row through the process. Not impressed at all.
