      One day, you’ll just ‘get it’. Look for videos that go through it. I finally got it when I watched ‘Rose and Lily Crochet’ - ‘How to crochet a magic ring in plush yarn’

    • @ElizabethJohnson-h9q
      @ElizabethJohnson-h9q 6 месяцев назад +1

      I used to be bamboozled by magic rings and inserting single crochets without it looking horrendous, but turns out that it was because of my 5.00mm hook and super thin yarn, and once i transitioned to thicker yarn and a 4.25mm hook, it was much easier and clearer to see the single crochets.

      Take one method only and practice that. MC can be made using various methods, that makes it way more confusing. Master one method and stick to that!!!

    hello! this is an amazing pattern! i do recommend changing one thing in the pattern. in row 13, change the inc to sc, and then add an extra row after that to do the inc. it minimizes holes because you are not increasing in the FLO

    • @ByKelly2
      @ByKelly2 8 месяцев назад +1

      6sc flo and then 6x inc flo or normally?

    • @MS-dx7fj
      @MS-dx7fj 8 месяцев назад +1

      The way I read the pattern (and how I did it) the FLO is only for one round.
      In the same way the earlier BLO is just one round. Afterwards back to SC.
      It helps "pop" the mushroom cap much better than other patterns.

    For beginners (as a beginner myself this is what is saving me lol):
    1) Make a new playlist for crochet and go for a youtube search for videos on crochet basics. When you find a video that makes sense to you save that video to your playlist!
    - Magic Circle
    - Single Crochet (SC)
    - Double Crochet (DC)
    - Half Double Crochet (HDC)
    - Triple or Treble Crochet (TC)
    - Slip Stitch (SSt)
    - Increases, decreases, invisible decrease, BLO (Back loop only), etc.
    - many more I can't remember lol
    - Joining two yarns/colors (for this one I recommend taking scraps and practing until comfortable. You will develop your own little tricks to make this work.)
    - At least one video for absolute beginners about holding your crochet hook, tension, types of yarn, how to choose your weight of thread and size of hook and how that will affect your work and also about stuffing.
    2) Have patience and practice! If you take the time to get a beginner yarn (one that works up easily and smoothly, is super easy to see the stitches, and you don't have to struggle to find the next stitch or get your hook through.) and watch your videos and just try each stitch for 50-100 stitches, practice yarning over to a new row, etc.
    3) Keep these video handy during tutorials and pause and check your work.
    4) don't stress if you have to frog (undo your work). Everyone does, even advanced crocheters!
    5)take breaks and have fun! It's meant to be relaxing ❤

    I SAW ONE OF THESE ON THE SOMEONE’S BACKPACK AT MY COLLEGE CAMPUS. I asked them if I could take a picture of it and was trying to recreate it from those photos. How convenient to come accords this video 😂

    Thank you so very much!
    I just stumbled upon you on instagram and went to all your other links ^^ I am very happy with this tutorial. If this is your first, you did fantastic. Clear instruction, good visual.
    Very nice of you to also not skip or speed up your rows after explaining and showing what stitches to do and repeat on that row. It makes it much easier to follow along and help us check for any mistakes we may make.
    One tip. When working with very light or very dark colours, make sure to adjust the filter on the video so people can also see the stitches wel :) I say filters because I know good lighting is important to crochet as to not strain your eyes too much. That said, to me it was crystal clear. But I can imagine absolute beginners may be a bit confused ^^ especially with this adorable fluffy/soft yarn 🥰😍
