The new drummer (ex Shadow Of Intent?) and Jason made them from good to awesome for me. That said I'm not very familiar with their old stuff. On another note, I think their vocalist did them a huge disservice with that political X.
My opinion of course but their debut album, The Fall Of Ideals is my favorite metal album period. Soaring vocals with some of the most tasteful guitar solos ever. It is such an underrated album, and I think it's because after this album they fell off pretty hard. But The Fall Of Ideals deserves so much more praise than if gets and I prefer it over other amazing metalcore albums from that time such as Alive or Just Breathing, As Daylight Dies, The Poison, Horizons, Messengers, Constellations. The Fall Of Ideals holds a very special place in my heart.
So it's OK for others to express their opinions on politics but because Phil Labonte, who's also a Marine vet (I myself am a disabled combat veteran as well) supports President Trump...he's supposed to keep his opinions to himself? I'm just trying to understand the logic. I mean at least those who support MAGA/President Trump can justify their beliefs/opinions with FACTS unlike those who support the left who can only justify their views based off their little feelers. I actually APPLAUD MEN like Phil and Aaron Lewis (both who also happen to be from Massachusetts as I am as well but I grew up in Boston and they lived out in the western part of the state) for actually having the COURAGE to STAND UP and fight back against this tyranny and leftist BS. I also respect Phil because he's also open about the fact he's an Agnostic...I am an Atheist so I can respect and appreciate that being open about that can cause just as many issues as being open about loving America and supporting President Trump.
