Omg I love your videos, you’re so honest with your feelings and thoughts. I’m planning to travel as a digital nomad to Asia and all videos on RUclips talk about how amazing it is (I bet it is), but they don’t feel truth idk how to explain hahah
Hahaha thanks so much. Most of the time I'm pretty content somewhere, but yeah -- being brutally honest I was not that happy in Seoul. Being a digital nomad is pretty awesome though, even if it's easy to take for granted sometimes.
Hey Kayla, I really appreciate your authenticity and so feel you on being able to connect with people via smiles and good vibes! 😊 I’ve been flirting with teaching English in Korea / Taiwan / somewhere lolz Though I was curious, (and maybe you’ve made a video about it) what your main gig is as a digital nomad? Apart from YT videos, of course.
Hiii! I WISH my RUclips made enough money. It's close to nothing haha. My main gig is working for a blog and then I do other things freelance such as video editing and writing. I def recommend Taiwan -- I have no experience teaching in Korea but just having traveled to Korea after Taiwan, I was so grateful for my choice. But my love for Taiwan runs super deep haha.
I see your point.
😢 Hugs from Tainan! Happy to hear the rest of South Korea's bringing you some joy😊~JB
Gosh Kayla. So much growth since those early days exploring Taiwans abandoned spaces.
Most Koreans are not confident in speaking English and if you are able to speak conversational Korean, you can befriend some Koreans... or go to Hongdae, where many young Koreans hang out and some do speak fluent English and are more open speaking to foreigners.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts on Seoul! Have you been, traveling or staying a long time?
To me as a korean, It is kinda sad that you are not that into Seoul but honestly I agree most of them you have told😢 but if I were the korean girl you have met I would definitely speak to you and make some conversation, I think that depends on personality maybe…? Thank you for your honest thought.
Awee thanks so much for the comment! I've been so much happier outside of Seoul but it's nice to know someone from there would be open to talking.
I don't agree. In Korea, Seoul is the city with the best-preserved traditions in the country due to height restrictions around Namsan Mountain and the preservation of hanok. On the other hand, everything in local cities is destroyed.
no i wont go to seoul. nearest japan kyuusyuu is so much better. you lived in kinmen for two years~~~ well its sort of a taiwanese colony... however its true identity is the republic of china~~~ which is a loop anyway...
Don't blame Seoul, Taiwan set the bar very high 😂😂
😂😂😂 it is true though. My heart belongs to Taiwan ❤️🇹🇼
if you wanna see very kroean sides of korea try north korea and the east north china where the korean ethnic chinese citizens inhabit: so much less americanized and preservative in korean cultures in a way~
Korea is totally different from china. Japan is more similar to china.
@@gaweekin524 no both are very Chinese
😎❤️🇹🇼‼️

I supposed when people (in Seoul) are too engrossed in keeping up an appearance, they don't come across as genuine and affable anymore.
This is the exact feeling I had after coming from taiwan
Love this video . I’m a digital nomad early 30s where do you reccomend? I’m from NYC , I like to party and eat and I’m very friendly . Please suggest a city with 24/7 coworking places and not too expensive . I plan to stay there at least two weeks I want to get my skin fixed there .
I haven't been to Seoul so I can't really comment, but from the sounds of it it's not the kind of place I would want to visit! I'm definitely one of those gets lonely easily types, which is probably why I loved living in Taiwan so much - it was so easy to meet people and make friends there!
Thanks for you frank and genuine take of your experience in Seoul! Where to next??
