Man I remember we used to go Christmas caroling in a neighborhood with my old church once. And It was the second house on the entrance of the neighborhood, that had those lights. They scared me as a little kid. It was just something about the tone of them that just didn't really mesh all my ears. Kind of was like a sensory overload. But I look back and it's kind of something I can laugh on now. So kind of reminds me of a little pastimes. Glad you got these though. I might get these for Taylor Klapak
@@TM-bo4gk omg I never saw that replay I am so sad now! Dang you youtube! But yes I've been looking for that specific set. I usually start around this time. There are a lot that sound similar but the melody lengths and position in the track list aren't different. Hopefully maybe they'll come up again.
@@TM-bo4gk I have no real way to express my gratitude to a random person on the internet! You have brought me something I didn't really think I could get back. But YES these are the lights! I was skeptical since they didn't have a link to the sound box but they wouldn't of been the first batch of lights I purchased in my search. I got them today and right when I pulled them out I knew they were the ones! I listened to them for I don't know how long and cried and laughed. I know this is really stupid. People will probably get a chuckle out of it but I don't honestly care. I'm so happy and content right now. My search is over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Hello! These are 99% the exact same songs and Christmas lights I have been looking for. Only difference is our lights were not colored. Our lights were from around 1994 and people have theirs on here but they were not the same for me. This is. I remember the order and everything correctly too! Thanks so much for the upload. I want these for my Christmas tree this upcoming year. :).
This is why I uploaded a video of them! For people like you and me! So glad I could help. I searched "vintage musical Christmas lights" on eBay for about a year before I saw these. Sort by "Time: newly listed" to avoid viewing the same posts. I also bought two others (by mistake) that have the exact same looking control box, but play different music. I asked the sellers for videos or recording of the music, but most said they couldn't upload one due to eBay's policy. Feel free to send them a link to this video and ask them if the music is the same.

Just wanted to update, I found them on eBay and the nice thing was they werent in colored lights (regular instead) which is what we had. Thanks and owe it all to you!
I could be mistaken, but didn't this set of Christmas lights play "Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer" as one of its tunes? I had a set that sounded just like this one back in the 1990's. Unfortunately, the family dog we had at the time, chewed on the light cords. I'm surprised she didn't get a severe electric shock, as the lights were on when she chewed them! She was a crossbreed of a Labrador and a German shepherd, whom we named Sammy.
I have the same kind of lights too 50 lights just a different brand found mine in local thrift stores they seem to be semi common where I’m at in thrift shops during Christmas time here

For me it sparks a nostalgic feeling of Christmas as a child. I actually prefer to listen to soft and slow Christmas music rather than the fast paced songs that later model musical lights have.

@Todd W How did you fry the box just by trying to solve a problem with the volume being too low? Did you plug the cord in backwards? I'm confused!
