The people that talk about color has no game and is jealous that he has game. I am black and has played the game twice as long as many that are talking trash have been living. This video displayed talent that could go against any competition at his level today. The hood, the burbs and anywhere else. Start injecting color in something that has nothing to do with color. Growup.

William Johnson I'm with you brother. I'm an old black guy from Jersey City, NJ and this kid can play ball. It's the old Thomas comment against Bird, you know that deal. Color doesn't matter when you can play and this kid, which I REFUSE to say white boy because I wouldn't like being called black boy, but this kid can play and his vertical leap is so deceiving, you don't see it coming. Simply Amazing. God bless him...

Mac McClung is the TRUTH! I GUARANTEE y'all he will not just be a HS Legend, he will be a great player at Georgetown and will be a nice role player in the NBA! Mark it down! He has got it ALL! I've never seen anything like him in my life! Absolutely UNREAL! I am so happy for him, Zac, Bradley, Coach V and the rest of the guys! What a tremendous accomplishment! Who would have ever thought that our little hometown & school of Gate City, VA would be known NATION WIDE! Thank you for everything you have done Mac! I'm gonna miss you bro! #StateChamps #TheRoadIsOver #WeAreGC #GoBigBlue #Devils #FearTheFork

McClung is a ball hogging piece of shit. He plays no defense and is way to full of himself. He is the reason they way. Gate City has never played as a team. It's the matt McClung show everytime. Outside the town limits no one gives a shit about gate city anything. He will get his ass haanded to him when he gets to Georgetown by real ball players. They will shove that stick he wears on his shoulder straight up his ass.

Zach Culp Thanks man, and yea I already know. This dude is a clown! And nah I wasn't friends with him (im about 14 yrs older ha) but I've been able to talk to him several times. His mom was my gym teacher in elementary school. He is such a humble, respectful, & good hearted person! After every single game he would literally stand in the middle of the court (not ever even going to the locker room to shower or catch his breath) & sign autographs & take pictures for EVERY SINGLE PERSON that stood by waiting. I'm talking a solid hour almost every single time! He never turned anyone away, never took a break.. he would sign over 500 autographs and 250 pictures damn near every single game! He didn't have to do that. I don't know many that would. He is a coaches dream & the kind of young man you hope your daughter gets married to. So even though we ain't friends, family, or even acquaintances I will defend him against stupid fucks that have no clue what their talking about! I can't wait to watch him play next year at Georgetown so he can shut some more ppl up like he has all year! #HateMotivates

BIG JOHN STUD That’s false. He did not get “cut”. It’s more of a feel good story. He was a sophomore standing at 5’10 at the time. Most varsity spots were guaranteed and it was a pick between him and his friend who was 6’7. Sophomores didn’t normally play varsity so he played JV for a bit. But MJ is an egomaniac so he thinks that’s considered being cut. Anyway, don’t let my hating ass distract you from the moral of the story.

I don't get why people keep saying he wouldn't do that against black players. He does the same thing on his AAU team VA loaded against some of the top AAU teams in the country. He may not dominate on his AAU team the way he does on his high school team, he doesn't need to. He can still handle his own against the top competition.

He's a phenomenal high school player, like a lot of truly outstanding high school athletes. Like nearly all of them, he's going to have to clear hurdles to see how good he really can be. Physically strong, explosive, very good speed, seems like a leader- responds well in big games, shows poise. Potential downsides- lack of height, inconsistent from the outside, not a true 2 or 1 slot. Plenty to be excited about and like 99% of high school phenoms, not a 100% certainty. If you want a white guard who was a rare can't miss- Rex Chapman. 6'4" with crazy ups, long range shooter etc. Became a good but by no means special NBA player.
