Yeaaah. Its like one of those items that gives you like 20 different status effects and only 1-2 of them are any good and the rest are just suffering. "You've obtained [ADHD]! You now have the status effects [executive dysfunction, insomnia, rejection sensitive dysphoria, *hyperfocus on good things*, hyperfocus on BAD things, horrid anxiety, social stigma, dissapointed adults, hyper-empathy, emotional regulation problems, too much energy, NO energy,.....the list goes on for like twenty pages]!"
Pigsy and Tang are divorced but not for any romantic reasons, they still love each other, they just found saying "my husband" a bit awkward. Also, LMK Wukong's internal monologue is just "shit shit shit shit shIT SHIT SHIT--" at all times no matter the occasion.
Something I noticed is that in the monkie kid intro sun wukong/monkey king in MK goes from a massive looming shadow to someone who stands next to him which shows how they're on equal lengths powerwise and mental wise with them becoming better friends over the series

this actually ties SO well into how wukong's main advice is always for mk to just believe in himself. mk not trusting himself + not knowing about his past/powers is a perfect combo for said powers to stay hidden for 20 or so years. if mk just doesn't feel he can rely on himself, how would he ever find out about his ability to lift the staff? he has to believe in himself first!! (also wukong was NOT made to be a teacher. but it works well enough to unlock new powers!) also, mk's first power being the golden eyes of truth aka the power that helps him focus on exactly what he needs to do next feels like it really ties into this

Dang you nailed this, a was diagnosed with ADHD I feel like this a lot, sometimes I forget things and lose/ misplace things a lot and have a small panic attack trying to find it. So when there is something that nobody known whose it belongs to it would be blamed on me by one my my family members. I hate this because I don’t always know if I’m the one who did and that linger doubt stays. I know this is about MK but I really liked the point you made about macaque I personally believe that he is a better teacher then wukong because of his straight forwardness even after his betrayal he makes it clear that it wasn't personal and that he genuinely thinks he us good kid and whenever his teaching approach isn't working with MK he directly explains what he is trying to teach MK, while Wukong is quite vauge at times and trys to cover up the fact that he doesn't know what he is doing most of the time. Such a great video! I love the connection between MK idolizing Wukong and neurodivergent people finding each other instinctively. Wasn't expecting to have our OSDD mentioned as well as our ADHD! This all articulates MK so well and gives him better context

Strike really close to home on a lot of Insecurities that I try not to think about. Thanks for that. I can't remember a time in my life where the anxiety wasn't there. I think I was diagnosed and medicated before I even had a "sentient thought" if that makes any sense. So hearing someone put to words those feelings is both refreshing and horrifying in equal measure.

god I relate to that monki on a cosmological level except I also have the tism which is like having someone in one ear saying "can we go home plz?" and in the other being "noah go steal the cosh safety sign from the lab noah it would be funny noah do it, take the fire safety sign, steal the half wet floor sign outside of collage" except my emotional dysregulation is canceled out by my emotional issues (emotional repression) so I'm kinda just in a state of neutrality until my brain decides to go for the novelty of "noah go steal a lose wooden pole sticking out the ground" kicks in and I can suddenly function and I have no idea if that's like a normal adhd thing or I'm just slowly descending into madness.

anyway, i'm fairly certain i have the adhd as well as my brilliant beautiful AW YEAH tism. so i paused the video when you started talking about the percy jackson musical (they're lost in the woods somewhere in new jersey. traffic light trio are never gonna make it to la) to take a Do I Have Adhd Test. also look at the nhs page and the associated diagnostic criteria. and i can't remember if all of it counts. also what if your adhd only becomes noticeable in adulthood bc you had all of your needs met as a child??? do you just. get excluded from adhd??? anyway back to the video
also i also felt that master subodhi witholding stars from mei was kind of. her 'earning it' was when she decided that disobeying and going after mk was more important? like, a culmination of her learning that there is a time to be patient and a time to act. instead of going too far in the opposite direction and having to re-learn how to join the fight, she waits, learns, and decides that Enough Is Enough Guys, It's Fighty Time

I love the way you worded everything in this video, specifically because whenever I try to describe how I see things or explain my behavior, it usually doesn't make sense or I just don't know how to describe it because its just me being me.

Strike really close to home on a lot of Insecurities that I try not to think about. Thanks for that. I can't remember a time in my life where the anxiety wasn't there. I think I was diagnosed and medicated before I even had a "sentient thought" if that makes any sense. So hearing someone put to words those feelings is both refreshing and horrifying in equal measure.

god I relate to that monki on a cosmological level except I also have the tism which is like having someone in one ear saying "can we go home plz?" and in the other being "noah go steal the cosh safety sign from the lab noah it would be funny noah do it, take the fire safety sign, steal the half wet floor sign outside of collage" except my emotional dysregulation is canceled out by my emotional issues (emotional repression) so I'm kinda just in a state of neutrality until my brain decides to go for the novelty of "noah go steal a lose wooden pole sticking out the ground" kicks in and I can suddenly function and I have no idea if that's like a normal adhd thing or I'm just slowly descending into madness.
