Poverty.. Is that not what's in Jamaica? As much as other areas exist, it's still just reality. Documenting poor areas in countries shouldn't be seen as something that reflects so negatively on a country as a whole. Poverty is unfortunate, but it's not something that should be shameful to expose. There should be nothing condescending about it. No way you can be ashamed or depressed by the dude in the video talking about how mentally strong they are as a people despite hardship.
Actually, having lived in Jamaica for 9 years he's completely right. Go there and you'll see how expatriates live, snoop is not in the ghetto's of new kingston, guaranteed.
