Hi! Thanks for the review bud. Looking to get a miata nb as a new daily. If anything comes up to where winters are too harsh, or i actually need more room on a weekly basis, then I'll get a beater civic and use that when needed. Anyway, what is that whistling sound upon acceleration? I know you said it was stock, but it sounds like a supercharger whine haha
Michael Parks i could only dream that this had a super charger lol. It did have a cold air intake, but the seals around the cabin were rotting away, so it could have been either or lol
Hi! I am 17 and am looking at a miata right now, it is sitting at 38,000 miles and it has almost everything stock except tires. It is $8,950. I had Talked to my parents about it and they said they would pay half of the monthly payment and i put the other half as well as paying for my own gas. would you say as a first car it is worth it? i looked and fount others in lesser condtion for a fraction of the cost but they have 100+ thousand milage on it. would like your input thanks in advance!
+Robert Chaney as a first car I almost wouldn't want something that nice. But that is super low mileage! You can find them right around 100k for like 4k and clean if you look around (at least in my area). In my opinion you could save money by going this route. These cars run forever and normally are relatively easy and cheap to work on compared to other cars.
Would you recommend this as a daily car? I've been thinking about getting one, but I've been concerned as to whether it would be a fair car in the winter months, particularly on the highway.
+CSharpNerd it is a great little car! I would highly recommend some snow tires though for winter driving. I got around pretty well here in northern Illinois during the winter months. its almost impossible to get anywhere if the snow is fluffy though (at least w/ summer tires)
I would not mind a stripper one. No power steering or windows. Etc. For Cheap to keep for a long time. I found these totally adequate power wise. Drive an 82 Vanagon Diesel Westfalia, nothing is as slow as that. The stick is wonderful. I have a 16v GTI from 92. It has been with me since 2000. 130k is very low miles, I am at 173k and it runs and shifts perfect still. Just take really good care of the car and it will take care of you.
Hi, I was wondering if you checked the suspension, the shocks reason your bottoming out, the car looks like it has some bounce? My car had that issue, and I found a very inexpensive set of shocks on E...y for all 4 for $99 did the trick. My car has low profiles, so I felt every bump LOL. I had a friend who had a Miata and seemed to always be racing
Hi Honey Good eye! I actually did replace the shocks a few months after this video, although it did help i still will bottom out occasionally. The roads are also pretty rough where I'm at, so maybe that is why haha
Yeah 93 the last of the 1.6L Engine 94 the started putin in the 1.8 is a little more power and fun to drive not much tho but really who cares these really are a blast to drive and if you dunno how to drive a stick These cars are literally the best to learn on easy to shift gears and like you said fast to going through the gears and all Really reliable cars to
Yes. Make sure you get one that doesnt have a ton of mileage and looks like it has been well cared for! Luckily, if something goes wrong, and your mechanically inclined, parts are dirt cheap for these cars
why is there a tiny gap just above your front bumper, on the right of the car? i notice some miatas have that gap. it's not due to an accident or hit or bump right?
I don't believe the car has been in a wreck before, but am unsure since theres about 120,000 miles where I did not own the car lol. But i believe the gap is because the hood has been removed to install hood lift supports, which hold the hood up instead of the conventional support.
Black ice is bad in any car. I live in northern illinois so our winters aren't terrible terrible. They salt alot here so usually there's only snow and ice on the road for a couple days at the most. It gets though packed snow fine, but struggles in unpacked, loose snow. itd be an even better winter car with dedicated winter tires, or at least some all seasons
thanks for the informative video. you haven't driven slow until you drive a naturally aspirated range rover (my current DD). Also winter driving is more about the driver than the car so that's more of a personal issue based on experience. good video though, I'm going to look at a 93 today
There's a guy in my area who has a sbf in one. They're pretty crazy when you throw even a mild v8 in one. I've wanted another one for awhile, but as the age old saying goes, not enough time nor money
@@NoTraction A lot of people even throw the acura TL engine in them it's pretty popular the V6 290 horse power in a small car like that 6 speed short shifter light car hell yeah hold on lol 🤣🤣👍
Lol i just found out this is the miata that Gingium owns and bought 1 year later after this video came out. Now its became an off-road miata.
it has a hydraulic clutch. I have the same year, great little roadster.
Tom will thought 93s had the cable clutch still?
@@skeddayoden421 I'm pretty sure cable clutches were common before the '90s, but all miatas have hydraulic.

Nice man! Hope to pick one up soon..
+Josh Leyva theyre fun little cars! A little slow sometimes, but still fun. They handle like go-karts!

"Really low to the ground." You should drive a lotus Europa then haha.
