I would say 7RP is more surety to maintain structure given the Alcantara fabric . Although the other insert seems to be holding up well with my craie picotin no buldging down the bottom which is always the first sign of structure caving in. But the craie bag isn't so super structured in appearance with the satin insert vs the 7RP and I can visually see that just when the bags are on the shelf.
I got a picotin 22, that seems easier to get and it is more roomier if you like to carry a book, nitting stuff, umbrella, water bottle, strap , rain jacket etc. I was offered a gold colour one and feel very lucky. About the touch one, that nice design kind of hides when you hold the bag so it could be a high markup if alligator or other exotic skin is used
Yes p22 less popular but a great size bag. You are right the touch wouldn't really be noticeable I feel now that as well I couldn't use the strap attachment too that I prefer . So perhaps an Exotic pico18 would be better if wanting that rather than the touch 🤔 and go for a clemence leather p22 for casual use 💪🏼
Interested by it and I think I like it! But to me from what I can see it's aesthetics and styling is different to the picotin. If I can get my hands on one I'll do a comparison between both for sure and share my thoughts .
Looked up the reviews of the hermes stores here in Los Angeles and yeeesh....the bad reviews were similar to what you dealt with. I think some of the good reviews were lying or fake
