Another great tutorial. Recovering from brain surgery and your videos are giving me the inspiration and showing me the techniques I had forgotten because of the surgery. So very grateful to you🙏🏼
I love Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Bill. Really enjoyed watching your video this morning. Never thought about making potholders with these patterns. Hope you are enjoying your new home. Thanks for all the tips. Have a blessed day. Nicole
I learned how to applique following your tutorial as I love sunbonnet sue. Your tips and techniques were perfect and I now use it for my other applique projects.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have Sunbonnet Sue and Bill patterns that I'm going to use in potholders and give them as gifts. You're amazing.
Your a Beautiful woman ....you remind so much of my Mother ..I miss so much....she had my Gramma Quilt that were her Mama. And your hubby I would love to him a Hug....My husband and I will our 53 anniversary June 20,69 !!!!! and were Married on there 22nd anniversary .....I know we got the Best Hubby Ever .Give him hug for me💕 Gramma Judy XOXO
The card stock paper really helps for patterns. I've been collecting patterns, and before I would just use copy paper and transfer it to a thin cardboard like a cereal box. But the card stock is way better. Less work.
For the hand and the arm on Bill I would sew the two pieces of fabric together first and then lay the pattern on the dividing line. Then you only have one piece to prepare and not two little pieces.
Hi Sherrill, love the Sun Bonnet Sue. I went to The Internet and put in the information “Sun Bonnet Sue Drawings” and clicked on “Images”. So many came up, then I click on each picture to get just the one picture. I scrolled down under each picture and saw a lot more. So much fun to see different ones. Did you know there was one called “Suspender Sam”? Anyway you may know all this, but wanted to share with you.
Many of the quilt block designers give their designs their own unique name. It is all the same thing/person. Have fun making Sue and Bill. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
thankyou so much for all your easy to follow tutorials, you make everything so much achievable , and I have learnt so much from you!! lots of love Lisa from Australia
Love the video, but struggling to find the fusible web you are using. If possible could you highlight the product make or even put a link to the one you purchase. Absolutely love watching your tutorials. Xx Wales, UK. 💕💕

Hi Gayathri. I recommend that you go to a store the specializes in selling all types of sewing machines. Have them demonstrate the machines that are in your price range. Tell them the type of sewing projects that you like to do. Hope you find one soon. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Using this method it looks like there is no need for a fusing mat. I was considering getting one since I find I like appliqué. Do you think it’s necessary??
Hi Auntdee. It really depends on how complicated your applique design is. I most do very basic applique designs so I don't feel I need one. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
@@TheSewingRoomChannel THANK YOU. I too like simple uncomplicated appliqués so I think I’ll hold off on getting one. With your method there is no glue residue on my iron either.

Any simple modern janome or brother will do but buy the best you can afford without needing to have a digital one.

@@TheSewingRoomChannel I remember I bought them for accuquilt.
I prefer to turn the edges, I don't want fraying...
With glue underneath it rarely does
