I absolutely love this song and didn't think anyone could do it better than Eva, but Lales version is absolutely amazing too. I wouldn't say better, as it has a very different vibe. Laleh is one of our best contemporary artists and she sings in three different languages! (Swedish, English and Farsi).
Lalehs version of this is a banger. You should definitively check it out. On youtube, not the Spotify-version. I'm actually surprised you haven't done a Laleh-reaction yet aswell. She's got a few classics.
The best song of Laleh, imo, is "Some die young". Especially as she sang it at the memorial of the young victims at Utöya, Norway, when a domestic terrorist shot and killed 69 people 10 years ago. Most of them teenagers, the youngest just turned 14 a couple of days earlier. I'm so impressed that she could hold it together and deliver that song under the circumstances.
