I've stopped listening to his music since he had been exposed as an abuser. His songs were all that kept me going, and motivated to continue my art. It just really hurts to see the people I've looked up to all my life turn out to be nothing like anyone thought. I recently realized that this missing void in my mind, trying to remember what that song was, the one that was all I could want in music, was this. Utterly disappointed. He was my inspiration to learning guitar, making music, singing, and so many things about me that I've left in the past. I will not support him, and I'll leave this all in the past. I just can't find anything like this. Nothing I can find replicates how these songs are exactly what I need. They're a constant reminder of how human everyone is, and how empty we all feel. I might just pirate his music.

Last summer the only songs I listened to was by Wilbur. And I'm surprised no one has told me to stop listening to him because he's the only person I've been listening to for the rest of 2021 and now. Its almost been a year since I found the YCGMA album, same with the Maybe I Was Boring album. Its very unreal that its almost been a year since then. I'm happy that Wilbur is still making music for everyone to enjoy. He inspires me so much to the point I want to make my own music.
I love all of the songs from this album, you can just feel the sadness and despair, from voice cracks to lyrics, this album conveys sadness in a truly underrated way. 10/10, Wilbur.

Literally listening to this right after listening to mammalian sighing reflex and it- it’s amazing to how much his music has changed between this and his newest solo album. That goes with how much he’s grown as a person and music production as well! YCGMA and MSR will definitely always have a special place in my heart of being my favorite albums from Wilbur soot
havent heard these songs in a few years and i used to be obsessed with wilbur and mcyt listening to these now is making me tear up they helped me so much and despite thinking a lot of it is cringy now these songs are still some of my favourites and will forever have a special space in my heart the pure emotion you can hear the little imperfections parts he says to cut its just a perfect album i was in year 6 and doing online school at the time when i starting liking the dsmp the only memory of that time i really remember of that time was sitting in a zoom call listening to this album for the first time and crying while texting my only friend im in year 9 now and have almost completely forgotten everything about covid times except these songs and lyrics i could not hear them for years and still almost perfectly recite them i know a girl who is currently obsessed with wilbur it makes me so upset that she doesnt know how much 11 year old me wouldve given to be her friend and yet now when she talks to me i practically ignore her songs like these are little time capsules in your mind they being out things you dont even remember i dont really know ehat the point of this comment is except that music is so powerful it can help people so much i know personally if i didnt have these songs 3 years ago i dont think i would be here now
I don’t watch many of Will’s streams or videos anymore (used to be a huge fan of SH back in 2018-19 and then his own videos in 2020-21) but I still love his music and I’m a huge fan of Lovejoy so after hearing their acoustic album, I really wanted to come back to this. I still listen to this and MIWB whenever I come back to London to visit my family. I really appreciate that this album helped me get out of a really dark period of my life ❤
