We have never seen similar condition of wet room or bathroom in our experience.
We have estimated standard package of bathroom refurbishment and after demolition took place we nearly fail down (lucky as a it was a ground floor) because the condition of the bathroom is terrible, how to keep price as it is? This is a reason when you need professionals who can sort things out and keep the cost down as much as possible.
Customer mention from beginning that due of roof leakage the ceiling needs to be replace incl replacing the plasterboard, which is normal. When we take the flooring tiles down, we noticed part of stud frames already rotted. Furthermore, flooring frame has been done with the wrong timber size which has been rotted full of moister. After full investigation we realised that the roof leakage wasn’t of this problem, the problem was constant leakage from the toilet waste pipe which cause such kind of floor damage, spreading moister to the walls also.
Before we show you the description of completed job, we would like to let you know that this project took us 6 days from scratch incl shopping, products delivery as the customer didn’t purchase any materials before met us. And yes, only two of us was involved to this project in general.
Here is the brief list of work what has been done to bring bathroom modern look and safety life for many years:
✅ Day one. Demolition, new ceiling, walls, and floor repairing incl insulation.
✅ Day two. All first fix plumbing & electrical work, plastering, waterproofing.
✅ Day three and four. Tilling and grouting, silicone, painting, door refurbishment.
✅ Day five and six. Second fix plumbing & electrical work, cleaning, rubbish disposal.
On 5th day customer used all facilities of the bathroom already. During whole renovation process we was able to provide access to use a toilet when necessary, So, don’t worry, we can look after you for any circumstance if necessary.
Dear clients, to prevent leakage and damages in your property which can cause, mould, fungus etc, always check your pipes, waste connection. Most of the common problems is the grout and sealant, so time to time you need to replace to prevent further damage which may cost you thousands to repair. Keep your place tidy as much as you can, and you will be fine.
