I was on that flight from Oakland to Burbank....it had that "new plane" smell! Flight crew didn't make too big a deal about it being the first revenue flight but they did ask passengers to stop and check out the livery once we reached the tarmac.
Good 'ol Southwest and 737's...a perfect match for many years. I wish every airline was like them. I think the 737 is the best and safest plane ever built.
Very nice and colorful livery, its nicer to see this airplane in video than it was to just see pictures of it. Big thanks for recording and for posting. Big Like!!!
This will be their new scheme, every aircraft they get from now on will have this livery. They are also planning to start repainting the aircraft that are in the fleet now including the -300's now that will be interesting to see.
Mets747 I work for SouthWest. They are in the process of changing the entire fleet to the "heart," color scheme. They had heart one and heart two painted on the 737-800's as a reveal of the new colors scheme on our newest bird in the fleet. These were the first two planes to receive it. We call it heart because we believe in "luv," and as I'm sure you heard on commercials, without a heart, it's just a machine. Well, without heart, what is love? Or as we call it, "luv." It was designed for the customers because we appriciate everyone who flies on SouthWest and want to make that apparent in every way possible all the way down to our paint scheme, which has a heart on the belly displaying our logo.
Love it, it literally pulls right off the runway and parks....flaps aren't even fully retracted by the time it starts to stop!
Yup, that's the convenience of good ol BUR!

I thought they were repainting all their 800s with this livery, so why are they naming each one with "Heart x"? Great catch by the way!
As far as I know the entire fleet is changing. Im not too sure on why they chose "Heart"
