Hang in there! I’ve been there. Get out and dig when you feel up to it that is my most effective form of coping with life when it gets tough. Rooting for you!
That pepper is an Italian horn. Cornicello A cornicello, cornetto, corno, or corno portafortuna is an Italian amulet or talisman worn to protect against the evil eye and bad luck in general, and, historically, to promote fertility and virility. In Neapolitan, it is called curniciello or variants thereof. The amulet is also sometimes referred to as the Italian horn.
I’m getting just as much joy as you are having that is awesome buddy when I’m fishing same thing I don’t to catch fish I like to see other people joy 😃
If the land is next to a river, the pebbles could very likely be carried in during floods. I find this to be the case quite often where I hunt in the country. That said - AMAZING silver day - congrats to you and Jeff.
I saw where you posted that Vt copper to I'd me and Chris Tanner nailed as usual ( he's awesome) I was wondering when you were going to drop the video. Freaking awesome day!!!!
Great stuff Merrill, but you know with all those pull tabs being pulled out of the ground, well, pull tabs may become a rare item, don't laugh! but with little to no value. Merrill, on that bull's head item that you found may have gone to an old-time cowboys' shirt tie. This was one of your more enriching episodes ever, all that hard work is paying off! WOW! Merrill, with all of the silver, the ring, you must of had snacks by the stacks. Thanks, Merrill, for tipping me off to this classic episode, that was fun! Rap onward my wayward son... Signed, Greg the Egg.
Great day! I got one just small unidentifiable copper yesterday. On your surpises column, would be good to stick in the dates, even if it's hidden from us to then see how frequently they happen over the year.
Hey Merrill great video and great production I don't know why this doesn't have at least 100,000 hits. What a treasure to find a park that hasn't been hit by other detectorists. For me personally I don't clean the old copper up too much just with a little water on my finger right away before it drys out completely. Rubi it firmly in circles, round and round until details start to show through and leave the dirt encrusted in the detail and put a little tiny amount of black shoe polish on your finger and apply it just a little at a time rubbing the surface which brings out the detail . Put the shoe polish on the end of your finger where you can barely see iit. I do the application about three different times.rubbing it modestly . Great hits on that 1846 and Vermont copper and other goodies.
The new magic field fills us all with happiness... until you rap once too often!! Just saying! Great finds... please leave something in the ground for when I come visit... that's if you'll take me with! But then, you can always leave me to play in your Wheatie tub... I'll be happy there too! 🤣👍😁
Hi Mr SILVER got a question and I know you have the ANSWER I can't make my mind up between these 2 equinoxes 600 and the vanquished 540 PLEASE HELP ME MAKING UP MY MIND
Hi Merrill Amazing discoveries, congratulations !!! Is it a coincidence that the title of this video is written in Polish ??? Greetings from Poland, ALONE POMORZE!
Copper is very difficult . Ive tumbled, used Andre's Crayons, done electrolysis, bathed the item in olive oil. None of these is perfect. For silver watch this: ruclips.net/video/lvV2k9VnLtc/видео.html
Sweet hunt Merrill, Congrats on another Spanish ( ; Almost said omg as much as I do during my vids, lolzzz, Look forward to seeing what else you find out of there. HH and take care
Merrill, congrats on the hunting day of a lifetime! The Reale in itself would be a lifetime for me. That had to have been dropped within a year of minting.
32:56 I found a lead fishing net weight in the middle of a city under a playground. I found out later that in the 1800's there was a canal that passed through. Union canal, Lebanon Pa
Awesome hunt! That reale is in great shape. I’m wondering if you're searching fill dirt or is it native soil that has been turned over. It may be worth digging (pun intended) further into the history and background of the park to find some clues. In either case, your new magic park may have some exciting tricks left to discover.
Green mountain metal detecting would love to have that Vermont copper coin that's his favorite you should show it to him Merrill he would flip out good 👍
What did you do? You kept rubbing your oily fingers into a rea'l. I was about to ask " have you ever found actual treasure" ? Meaning something of shipwreck / serious historic value. Yes, yes you have. Nice find

50 and over , Better believe it! Good luck all the best!
Congrats Merrill, that was a dream hunt keep it up!
Good lord! Finding a state copper is incredibly rare. People have actually written books about the coppers that have been found.

Incredible hunt, congrats.
Wow what awesome finds! You’re lucky and deserve it!! What’s the best way to clean valuable old copper and silver?

Awesome video man!
magical video :) stunning reale Merrill way to go :)
The rule of 7 in any direction is a great help with the 800 anyways. But I still dig it if it's in one direction sound good might be on edge
I'd bet the fill was brought in from a river or lake. Perhaps a crossing area or camp site. Just "what if"n. Congrats on a great day.

The Bull was probably on a Bolo tie or a bandana
Great 👍 Spanish 1746 coin Merrill Dig On!
Vermont Copper could be worth several hundred dollars . Condition not bad .
There's probably park rangers all over nyc trying to figure out who keeps digging holes in the parks.
We have a permit system in NY
How much is the permit and can you get one for a day and if so how much??
@ Green Mountain Metal Detecting 40:52 Y'all should be friends lol
The bull looks like a scarf holder
It's a Bollo...tie loop
brush and spray bottle in car glad you came prepared..
I have the Equinox with 11 inch coil, do you suggest getting a bigger or smaller coil?
Great video. Is historic aerials a paid sight? I’m trying to figure out how to use it to see what was on our farm land in eastern Long Island
It’s free: directions in this video ruclips.net/video/lAQRDTxl6lk/видео.html
