He did actually. I could hear the Filipino accent coming through even if it is fainter comparably to those with really strong really obvious pinoy accents.

It kinda makes sense the South-African girl would sound like having a German accent, since Afrikaans has a lot in common with Dutch, and Dutch is fairly closely related to German.
Except it does not sound like a German accent at all (trust me, I am German)
@@letmebecharlie I didn't think it sounded like German accent either, because I know German people, and speak the language a bit. But from the perspective of an English-speaking American, it might, and it does sound quite a bit more like a German accent than, say, Italian or Russian accent (or Finnish accent, which I can spot miles away, being Finnish myself).
I’m South African and honestly I didn’t think she sounded South African. Her accent is mixing with the American one I think that’s why it sounded off because I didn’t even recognise my own accent.

As a Spaniard, it was so easy for me to tell not only that the software engineer was the one from Spain, but that he was definitely from the north of Spain. It's crazy how much we can tell about where someone is from just from their accent, even when they are not speaking their native languages.

As an Indian, I'm proud of them.
I think that there a Gypsies for each country/ethnical group because as a french-spanish, what comes to my mind when I hear gypsy is a group originally from Spain that also now live in France near the frontier of Spain (there are still speaking spanish even though there were born in France). If you go to UK, they have also a community which is called gypsies like Tyson Fury. I think Gypsies are more a way of living than a real ethnicity. Idk if you're going to understand my point 😅

omg I was so surprised when he said Macedonia, because people from here sure have an accent, it's very rough almost like russian. And he spoke very fluently and good. btw when he spoke in macedonian he had a dialect, not all of us speak like that.
I can't know for sure but I think he's from somewhere near the border with Bulgaria since his accent sounds a bit like the way western Bulgarians speak.

He says is from Barcelona, Catalunya, where we speak Catalan, ergo the accent is Catalan, that's why. The video is about accents, so the accent is a Barcelonian/Catalan. Being from Russia and hearing all of the languages from the countries in the former Soviet Union always trips me up because the first half of the sentence sounds Russian but the second half is unintelligible to me.

Macedonian and Romanian are slavic languages and they are supposed to sound similar to Russian. URSS or not, both were under the Moscow supervison, with Russian natives leading the Communist Party. And its not like comparing anglo saxonic languages to asian ones. All slavic languages, even more if writen with cyrillic characters, have resembling words.
