    This guy's a clown. Not even a liar, because if you're going to lie at least make it seem somewhat believable. Guy's been driving for a couple year and puts it like if you know how to line up your loads you can really be killing it in the current market.

    • @Smooth_Operator_83
      @Smooth_Operator_83  7 месяцев назад

      No that’s the norm. I’m sure for most it’s just the opposite, but if one person does or did it then it’s not a lie. I can only go by what I was told from multiple reliable sources. It’s not my truth, I’m struggling, but I think that has to do more with my business model than Mercer.

    What do you think for new oo going in bussines, can we survive until the market regulates

    • @Smooth_Operator_83
      @Smooth_Operator_83  Год назад

      If you keep your personal and business expenses very low you can survive. Try to cut your fuel cost by 10 percent then food then maintenance. Every little bit counts. I would be lying if I said I have it all figured out because I don’t. Having money set aside for maintenance is key though. I run an older truck so between tires and repairs I have to put away a min of .20 cents a mile ( all miles). If you can do that and still use cash flow for minor repairs and maintenance under $300 you should be able to save enough to cover major repairs and the down time that goes along with it. You might have a newer truck which means lower maintenance maybe 10-15 cents per mile.

      Probably closer to $8,000-$10,000 a month deposited into your account in this market. At least that’s been my experience. Everyone’s business model is set up different. I’ve had a lot of down time due to truck repairs. Running older equipment plus I can’t go to California. That takes away some good options from time to time. Usually one really good week a month will be enough to offset having a bad week and a mediocre week. I can probably hit 10-12 a month next year if I can spend less time down due to maintenance and tweak my strategy.
