@@mandylad the short answer is: I cant help you. I dont like those guys who tell others what to buy and what is good and what is not to buy based on hearsay. Some guys have an opinion based on ..... really nothing ... just some stuff that they heard or read online. Well - I am not that kind of guy. I welded with a miller dynasty 280 and a Lincoln aspect 375 both at a trade show for 15-20 min, I welded with a miller dynasty 400 for a few hours and I used the Stel TIG uP 453H AC-DC for hours and hours on end .... I have never welded with a Lincoln aspect 300 myself so that being said here is what I can say:
welding machines are a lot like cars, you have horse power (maximum amps) and you have drivability (arc dynamic), the power you can measure, verify and put in a spec sheet, drivability/arc dynamic you have to experience yourself and just because I personally like it - does not mean that the next guy likes it - there is a lot of it that is considered good or bad by most people BUT then there is also a factor of personal preference ....
      that being said
      my personal favorite list is
      1) Stel TIG uP 453H AC-DC
      2) miller dynasty 400 (as a close 2nd)
      3) Lincoln aspect 375 ( a good step behind - but not really all that much) considering the price of the Lincoln vs the miller .... THAT puts stuff in perspective really fast !
and again ... there is a fair share of personal bias in this answer, the best advice I can give you is - go and weld with the machines you may want to buy. buy the one YOU like !!!

@@ZILAwelds Shit, I'll say it. Fuck lincoln. I'm with Pete. Stel first then Miller if you can afford it. If I needed to make my living with a machine, I want it to be blue. Ya I know it's stupidly over priced, but local service is what you are paying for.
