This song has changed my life. I grew up with not very good parents. Who made a lot of bad choices. And I was the younger one out of me and my sister. I feel like she got to see all the bad shit that happened in are life's. And she protected me from so much through my life. She is my hero. If it wasn't for my sister I probably would not have made a lot of the good choices in my life. And she has sacrificed her own life to make mine better. And I don't know how to repay her for all of the pain and trauma she took and dealt with are whole lifes.

7 years ago, I lost my best friend, her child and my dad 2 weeks apart. Their funerals were 2 days apart and sometimes it still utterly destroys me. I found this album when I booked my trip to Mexico after the funerals and can still feel the warm breeze and hear the ocean when I hear this song since I played it so much. I've been a diehard Shinedown fan since Sound of Madness came out. Saw Shinedown live a few months ago when Asking Alexandria and Papa Roach opened for them. I was right up there in the front row by the walk out stage and the band came out to play the last half of the set. This song has always hit me so personally just listening to the studio version. When they played this live, I was in absolute tears. Words just can't explain how magical that night was. Definitely a night I'll never forget.

I once sent this song to someone to show how much I care for them, over 8 years ago. Today, I'm back here because I said something to them that hurt them, hard. They told me they would still be my friend, yet I still felt as if I ended such a long friendship. Coming back here, after much reflection, these words hit different. Before, they spoke to me as a message to send to them saying, "hey, if you wanna go further in our relationship or not, that's fine by me," but now, it's speaking to me, saying, "hey, you messed up, and may have permanently damaged or ended the friendship, but that doesn't mean you still don't care for them, nor that all that time was all for nothing." I've haven't spoken to them yet, but after the self-reflection, talking it over with others, and hearing these words, I hope I can at least let them know even if our friendship ends, at least they know I still care for them, and am grateful for the time we spent together, and how that made me the man I am today.

Still, it does feel off, and I think I'll never get the same relationship we once had again, but at least it wasn't a complete loss. Ya win some and ya lose some. Regardless, I will never forget the lessons I learned up to that point, nor will I simply give up on being a good friend.

This song has changed my life. I grew up with not very good parents. Who made a lot of bad choices. And I was the younger one out of me and my sister. I feel like she got to see all the bad shit that happened in are life's. And she protected me from so much through my life. She is my hero. If it wasn't for my sister I probably would not have made a lot of the good choices in my life. And she has sacrificed her own life to make mine better. And I don't know how to repay her for all of the pain and trauma she took and dealt with are whole lifes.

7 years ago, I lost my best friend, her child and my dad 2 weeks apart. Their funerals were 2 days apart and sometimes it still utterly destroys me. I found this album when I booked my trip to Mexico after the funerals and can still feel the warm breeze and hear the ocean when I hear this song since I played it so much. Thank you, so very much for connecting me to a part of me through your music. Sometimes you just need to be weak and allow yourself to fully be something and this helps me so much. Others as well.

I've been a diehard Shinedown fan since Sound of Madness came out. Saw Shinedown live a few months ago when Asking Alexandria and Papa Roach opened for them. I was right up there in the front row by the walk out stage and the band came out to play the last half of the set. This song has always hit me so personally just listening to the studio version. When they played this live, I was in absolute tears. Words just can't explain how magical that night was. Definitely a night I'll never forget.
For the people that don’t know. This song is talking about letting go of someone that you are no good for “Ive said it so many times I will change my ways no never mind” refers to him not being able to change no matter how hard he/she try’s. But no matter what happens you will always love that person. Whether they love or hate you it doesn’t matter you’d rather see them happy than miserable. It’s letting go of someone because you know you can’t change for them. It’s the deepest love you will ever have for someone and is very selfless. Also one of the worst pains you will ever feel. Just went through this was married 10 years.

As an almost 14 year old I’ve never experienced most stuff y’all have talked about but to me this song reminds me of my past few years. I always had Anger Issues and they really flared up then. I got in a few fights at school and worst of all I never respected my dad when I got angry no matter if he was mad or just using a stern voice. I’m still struggling with anger issues and now Depression and Anxiety. Y’all have a good rest of the day/‘night and stay safe

I heard this one growing up before but I had to park my car on the highway to recollect myself that night.. you don't realize the value of some songs until they pop up like this.. I miss you mom
I once sent this song to someone to show how much I care for them, over 8 years ago. Today, I'm back here because I said something to them that hurt them, hard. They told me they would still be my friend, yet I still felt as if I ended such a long friendship.
Coming back here, after much reflection, these words hit different. Before, they spoke to me as a message to send to them saying, "hey, if you wanna go further in our relationship or not, that's fine by me," but now, it's speaking to me, saying, "hey, you messed up, and may have permanently damaged or ended the friendship, but that doesn't mean you still don't care for them, nor that all that time was all for nothing."
I've haven't spoken to them yet, but after the self-reflection, talking it over with others, and hearing these words, I hope I can at least let them know even if our friendship ends, at least they know I still care for them, and am grateful for the time we spent together, and how that made me the man I am today.

Still, it does feel off, and I think I'll never get the same relationship we once had again, but at least it wasn't a complete loss.
