That's really good fire prevention. You would probably have to defy the order to leave to defend your property. I removed all fir trees within 200 ft from my house and outbuildings and had sprinklers at the ready. Nice video, Ryan.

Invaluable info! Let’s hope our fires won’t be so horrific next year but this gives plenty of time for people to get prepared.

That’s a lot of good information. Clearing the underbrush is so important. Our bush is mostly maple so we try to get the branches gathered up but leave the leaves as they keep the soil from drying out. Luckily Ontario got a lot of rain this summer. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Homesteadonomics has a similar but larger water collection system. He uses his in the desert for home use and animal use. He also has a fire supresstion system.

Ryan, i normally really enjoy your metal detecting videos but i have to say this video really hits home. Great explanation of your working system for fire prevention and preparation. we collect water as well, but need to be a lot more efficient about it. as usual, you have encouraged us by example. thank you , Rebecca.
