    Holding your Phone while driving: illegal in Germany.

    • @PbPomper
      @PbPomper 9 лет назад +182

      Echtvergoldet It's illegal in most European countries. So, you'd better watch out! They are really steep as well. In The Netherlands (also known as Amsterdam ;)) the fine is currently 220 euros!

    • @echtvergoldet
      @echtvergoldet 9 лет назад +23

      I know, since I live near the Netherlands. Their fine system is out of control! Even compared to the pricey german punishments.

    • @PbPomper
      @PbPomper 9 лет назад +43

      Echtvergoldet True. Even though I think that the steep fine for non-hands-free driving is used to deter people. And I agree. Everyone has access to hands-free solutions. It is a major contributor to traffic accidents. I still regularly see people using their phones while driving. Very dangerous and unnecessary.

      Echtvergoldet Netherlands out of control? A finnish man got a fine of 50,000 euros for speeding.

      mine cost 25 bucks new. I bought another one for 5.9USD (second hand). And the best part it has cherry mx blue switches. I kinda wanna prolong this comment because this feels so nice to type on specially after my shit logitech membrane keyboard that I wanna set fire to now. Ps I am talking about TVS gold ebharat. Its available in India, I dont know about abroad.
      PS I can arrange for sending some keyboards to genuine people who are on a budget keyboard or want a no nonsense keyboard with cherry mx blue switches.

    • @Zuunky
      @Zuunky 8 лет назад +16

      drifter13 Ok, second hand prices can drop very much of course. Fully depends on what the previous owners asks. But one reason why mine was expensive is probably because it's got LED and stuff.

    Someone posted on /r/mechanicalkeyboards a while ago saying that he works in ZF Electronic's factory making Cherry switches, mainly MX and ML switches, begging people to stop buying MX1A-E1, also known as Cherry MX Blue switches.
    He was claiming that him and his coworkers hate making them because of the supposedly poor and three decade-old machines they have to use, he was explaining how they don't use mechanical keyboards themselves and that he thinks they're unnecessary.
    I thought that was pretty funny

      1. It does not make people want to dislike it if they liked it.
      2. Any rating is good for the video's publicity, youtube will recommend a video with tons of dislikes to more people than it would a video with a few likes and no dislikes.
      3. It's really doesn't matter that much for the video's sake, and Linus wants to know what videos people like/dislike

    would love to see the behind the scenes stuff, makes you appreciate the amount of work behind the hardware we take for granted.

    After five years I get recommended this. Like, my dad used to work at Cherry in Auerbach...

    Cherry doesn't need a $50,000 piece of sound recording machinery to demonstrate that MX Blues sound like crap

    This is exactly why i have so much faith in Cherry MX switches over something like Kaihl. Not to say that Kaihl is bad by any means but im pretty sure those chinese made switches are not made with the same amount of obsession to detail as their German counterpart.

      +TechNation Yep,it may cost more to get a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches,but is worth it compared to the others.But it does seem like they have some competition when it comes to the Gatore switches,a lot of people praise this once over the Kaihl and Cherry MX,manly(according to these people)because they use a softer plastic (for the housing)that makes their switches sound and feel more pleasant than the Cherry and especially the Kaihl ones.

      Jan Ethan S.Salas Well I have Kaihl blue switches and they are great, Not sure why you dislike them though.

      Kailh switches do not "suck". Please do some research before you make comments like that. Kailh's BOX switch lineup is far superior to Cherry's scratchy, rattly switches.

      A few years later kailh and gateron surpass doggy shit cherry MX switches. Good to know we can actually get smooth mechanical switches for a good price. (Not counting switches like zealios. Sakurios, tealios, etc those are godlike lubed)

    I was kind of surprised that they didn't outsource these manufacturing things to China?

    • @BDHtP
      @BDHtP 10 лет назад +46

      Maybe that's the main reason why "Cherry MX keys" still is a thing. Outsource it to china and you just gave all your secrets away.

      i dunno, companies usually care more about profit. maybe there's some sort of legal protection that's why some companies do get to make factories in China
