Collingwood School - Vermicomposting

Every grade 4 class had their own vermicomposting bin for four weeks. Students learned how a vermicompost bin is set up, what does and does not go in there and how to maintain it. Each class was able to look at worms, worm cocoons and other types of organisms under a magnifying glass and experience the decomposition process through weekly observations and by taking turns to look after the worms.
