Slowboat is such a beautiful song, the past few months I've been thinking it's one of their best.

Are you typing about Halfnelson or Sparks ? First two Sparks records are indeed their only interesting work. It's a miracle the Maels managed to build their career on those two LP's . Old men should never wear black wigs though , unless they take Elvis impersonators as their role model.

I originally had these songs on tape as a young teenage girlie and also knew every word. Fantastic to hear again. Where the hell do they get their stamina from - such a feat?! Some of my favourite songs ever... OMG Fletcher Honorama - beautiful. I wish I could have been there.
Also love A Woofer In Tweeter's Clothing.

I dropped my previous life to see this at London 2008. I'm glad it wasn't captured. Those who understood enough that nothing was pretty much more important than being at this were there. The influence of this record has even yet to be fully understood by those except the ceertain master composers. ( M Smith T Smith R Pollard and a very few others.) This nights' equvalence might be the live debut of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring.

Your comment comforts my soul for not being able to make this show from the States. Makes perfect and proper good sense. The first two albums still stun me in their overwhelming brilliance. Of course, plenty that followed had more brilliance but the courage of this early work inspire still....

I just noticed, one dislike??? 🤔 Can't be from a Sparks fan, it got to be someone looking for "The Sparks" or some else band with similar name.
    I hope. 🙄

@@robdavidson1876 Search for The Sparks on www.alivenetwork.com
That's ONE of a couple of other bands with that name. Now it's a day's job to search for all of them, caused by better things such as a movie "The Sparks Brothers" (which unfortunately is the name of a group, at least was) and another movie, 'ANNETTE' where a certain band named 'Sparks' is involved...
This is ONE reason that it pi..es me off😡😡😡 when people keep using "The Sparks" while talking about SPARKS.
Sparks has copyright on their name, it shouldn't be so much more bands to confuse them to, but The Sparks... At least a half dozen, maybe a full. Or more, counting bands that aren't still active.

@@DM-ul5yc Obviously I wasn't there (😭) but if I had been, I had assumed that there were some sort of professonal recording made.
Tyler has searched for the best he could find and put them together. I doubt there are better to find, perhaps on the same level, available.
💖 The person, or persons, who knows about any can post links, everyone would be enormously greatful, including Tyler I guess.💖
      I don't say YOU complained on Tyler's WORK! 🥰!
It was just a comment on your reply in general, no accusation.
It is what it is. We can't go back in time and fix it. Sadly. 😟
Only be greatful there is any documentation at all, and that someone spent awfully lot of time and work to put it together.
