I took off the old vinyl wrap from my bathroom vanity and wanted to apply a new one. But I didn't know what it was called and I was searching for a video. I finally rephrased my word search and came across this video. Thank you so much for this video. My husband made a wood project for me and he will be using the vinyl peel-and-stick paper on the bathroom vanity cabinet and my wood project in the kitchen 😊
You explained this project well- thank you for details about hot air, your few missteps, aligning the paper. I Was looking for alternative to painting our vanity . You’re right about not adhering the vinyl inside because your guests shouldn’t be looking inside in the first place 🤣
Great job! A tip if you ever do this again is to look inside the cabinet where the top front panels are. There is usually plastic clips to remove them. Then you can wrap them like you did your doors.
My Grandma left me her house when she passed away. It needs a major a makeover given she bought the house in 1991. I've been doing esthetics mostly rearranging, putting my stuff in and storing her outdated furniture lol my grandma knew her stuff was outdated and she wanted a makeover when she was alive too. I thought about staining the cupboards to a darker wood color but this vinyl is a new idea. I guess it comes down to affordability for me. I would like the kitchen done, hallway cabinets, and two restrooms. I'd like to do my counter tops as well and cover up this 1991 style counter tops they're hideous. Cool video, you made me brainstorm some ideas and to get on it.
It's funny how the young people are calling this a "trend". Covering stuff with contact paper, or "mac'tac" as we call in some places in Canada, has been done for years. My mother used to cover stuff, ie bureau drawers etc, with this stuff way back in the 1970's. Your cabinent looks great, by the way.
Thank you so much! Got everything in hand now! I'm still worried because I need to do a 5ft. vanity countertop.....around a sink 😬 My measuring skills aren't up to par for sure. But you've given me some confidence! Thanks again!
@@Ettore I don't have an exhaust fan in my bathroom to help with the steam, and I love long showers. I might still try it. Like you stated. It is reversible.
@@tmulcahy7869 I normally don't turn on my exhaust fan either. I'm pretty impressed with the adhesive so far, just make sure to really press in those edges while doing this

Your clarity makes my confusion disappeared. Much appreciated and good luck!

happy to hear! Home renovation is a great way to honor her :)
I loved it when you said "I don't care" :) Regarding the inside of the vanity. I'm with you :)
So glad I found your channel. Well presented, explained and straight to the point. Thanks!
loved your latest project, I might give it a try. These are steps I can follow. Can't wait for your new video
It looks really nice. You did a good job
And that is because “I do not care.” 😂 GENIUS!

Looks awesome! Great job!
This is cool and so renter friendly!
You did a great job👍
Thank you. U helped me so much. Watching u go through the process...thank you
Glad I could help! Enjoy your new look!
You did great by yourself
Thank you! It was my first time!
It came out well enough. I think you'd made our life easier if you had removed the two panels in front. and if you had used one piece for the doors.
great job thanks for teaching
Thanks for doing this, great job!
Good job!!! Looks great, thank you...
You did an awesome job!!!
I so want to try this with my master bathroom vanity, mirror medicine cabinet and linen cabinet by jacuzzi tub!
By the way, I got the same exact Peel and stick will paper, the same pattern for my bathroom,
How long does the wrap last?
nice work
Fake drawer fronts unscrew from inside would have been easy great work God bless🙏👍👍
Good job!
....those two panels will remove, just look at the back side to see how.
wow, good tip! I still gotta do my other bathroom, and I'll do this when I get to that step!
Where did you get the vinyl and do you know of a place I can get a roll of custom vinyl ?
How’s it holding up?
Is there a link to buy that stuff?
Look 👍
Nice! Link to the vinyl that you used?
yeah, it was this one: www.amazon.com/Yancorp-Self-Adhesive-Wallpaper-Peel-Stick-Countertop/dp/B07F6F1T9C/
very affordable!
Hoping my hair dryer works. No heat gun just hanging around
@@Kims_Whims Yep. The hair dryer worked just fine for me!
@@clester7967 that made my day
What size roll?
How has it held up with water dropping on it?
Water doesn't drip on it but it's holding up well with shower humidity!
9112 Orn Divide
How is the upkeep? Does it peel?
It hsan't peeled yet after a couple months!
Does steam from the shower cause any of the vinyl to separate or lift up?
It hasn't yet! I'm pretty impressed by the adhesive. I take pretty short showers though
@@Ettore OK. Thank you for the response.
@@tmulcahy7869 no problem! The cool part about this is that it is cheap and totally reversible. If it peels off it'll look like it did before

tldr: Ettore seeking vinyl helper ;)
Do you think a hair dryer could work in place of a heat gun?
yes
Hoping my hair dryer works
Woodglut plans are amazing!
Brother no me importa porque tu quisiste hacerlo ni necesito que me dogas los que haves si claramente lo.estpy viendo eres bruto o que?
