    Great looking fenders! Agree with another poster’s assessment, for 37’s you’ll need to trim the pinch seam on the anterior side of the rear wheel well to avoid rub.

    • @RedRockCrawlers
      @RedRockCrawlers  5 лет назад

      MsEmmaHale possible. A lot of people do that. I was able to push the rear axle back another 1" so i have a good amount of clearance there now. I'll know when I get the tires mounted.

    • @msemmahale4608
      @msemmahale4608 5 лет назад +1

      I’m still learning, so forgive the question if it’s basic - you pushed the rear axle back with longer control arms?

    • @RedRockCrawlers
      @RedRockCrawlers  5 лет назад +2

      MsEmmaHale exactly. With the Rock Krawler X Factor lift the control arms are fully adjustable so I extended them 1" to push the axle in a better location.

      Mine are safariland and came with supports. The fenders and supports are identical to Poison spyder. I think you can buy supports from poison spyder. So the main fender doesn’t flex on a hit. Again love the look!

    Just curious...I installed plastic Bushwacker flat fenders last summer. Lately, I’ve been reading about how dirt and grit eventually work their way in between the fender and sheet metal and wear away the paint which leads to rust. Some folks have put down a barrier between the body and fender like clear 3M tape or a gasket type thing. I didn’t notice that there is anything between the Aries fenders and body - is there no rubbing / corrosion issue with these fenders?

    • @RedRockCrawlers
      @RedRockCrawlers  5 лет назад

      i think plastic fenders tend to vibrate and rub more than solid metal fenders. I'm not saying that won't happen with metal fenders. But if you noticed in the video i had to repaint a few spots because the plastic factory fenders tend to rub a few spots raw.

    Do you happen to know the color name of the powdercoat? I read somewhere that "wheel red" was a match but wanting to confirm.
    My Jeep is red also and I want the fenders to be colormatched. Thanks!

    • @RedRockCrawlers
      @RedRockCrawlers  4 года назад +1

      So the color code for the Jeep body is PR4, thats what I told the powder coat company when I dropped them off. They matched it off that. Hope that helps

    how about that pinch weld? looks like it could slice right down the middle of the tire!

    • @RedRockCrawlers
      @RedRockCrawlers  3 года назад
