That's just unbelievably cruel. Not necessary at all. These women are supposed to be adults, yet they're acting like jealous children. Grow up ladies!!
Seems like back then that’s the only power women like her had in their lives. The home cleaned, dinner cooked and Mrs. Perfect wasn’t enough. . .
It's a movie, genius.

This happened to me a year before the pandemic. It was my brother’s birthday. I baked brownies for him. I was trying to reach him and he wouldnt answer his phone. I messaged his girlfriend. She said they are out doing errands. I asked her where I could meet them, I will quickly hand the tray of freshly-baked brownies. They (my bro, his girlfriend, my other bro, and other family members) were in the midst of dinner at a local restaurant. They felt bad they didn’t include me. They were only including me as I delivered the tray of brownies at the restaurant where they were dining. I said hello to everyone and then left. I wasn’t comfortable in accepting their last-minute invitation-the time I was handing my bro the baked goods.
Everyone in this film was spectacular in their acting.
“The Help” is a must see film.
I've seen many clips of this, but it really does seem like a good movie. I think I might have to, even though I never watch movies. I might wait until I'm back at my parents so we could all watch it, I'm sure they'll enjoy. And, it's always more fun watching something with company :0
@@ple8379I actually just finished it like 10 minutes ago because I’ve been seeing clips of it. It was such a good movie really. A woman at a theater I was chatting with said if they were really your (her) friends they would tell you (her) what’s really happening… and in the telling the farce would crumble - when even one decent person starts to say “I/we were all acting out a mean charade on you…” these ways crumble.

A bunch of hypocritical two faced sheep the lot of them! Hilly did end up getting her comeuppance with Skeeter telling her to be careful because of chapter 12 and Skeeter's mother telling Hilly off because she had read the book along with Hilly's own mother and her former maid Yule May, whom Hilly had arrested for pawning a ring. Yule May read the book in jail to the other inmates and they all laughed.

That's why Johnny married Celia. She was the nicest of them all. Even Minny felt compassion for her :(
Exactly…she’s so sweet and kind. Poor thing
And Minnie liked working for her because Celia treated her as an equal and saw Minnie as a friend(the only one she had in Jackson no thanks to Hilly the brat), also Minnie helped Celia when she had the miscarriage, and while taking care of Celia, Celia confessed about the other two before. Minnie realized how hard Celia had tried to integrate into society, and felt a kindred spirit with her.

That lady (Celia)with the pie was so good hearted. That woman who was throwing the party had an ugly soul(Hilly). She didn't like that woman because she married her ex boyfriend even though she had her own husband at that point. Celia had just moved there and had no idea Hilly was her husband's ex-girlfriend and just wanted to fit in with the other wives and Hilly happened to be the head honcho and turned everyone against her. When Celia made the comment my maid Minny made the pie and Hilly's face dropped was because Minny used to be her mother's maid and when he mother became elderly she moved in with her and the maid came along. One day it there was a terrible storm and Minny had to go to the bathroom. At Hillys house black ppl were not allowed to use the indoor bathroom, they had one outside and it was dangerous to go out so Hillys mom told her to just use the regular bathroom. Hilly threw a fit refusing so Minny tried to sneak in to go but was caught and Hilly fired her for it and used her influence to make sure no one else in town would hire Minny but this woman-Celia did not talk to anyone so wasnt influenced and got a job working for her. So to say the least Hilly was pissed she didn't ruin Minny's life for using the bathroom her family used.
SPOILER ALERT
It's a great explanation, but the last part is not entirely right. Hilly's face dropped when she heard Minnie made the pie because after Hilly fired her, Minnie came back with an "apology pie" making it look like she wanted to apologise to her. Hilly made Minnie serve her the pie and she loved it, so wanted to share with her mother, but Minnie refused saying it was specially made only for Hilly to enjoy. Hilly then got mad and have her mother some, but before the mother could eat it Minnie confessed that it was a pie made with her feces (she didn't want the mum to eat it because she had always been good to her).
After that, one of the main characters (I don't remember the name) wrote a book with the maids stories and included the "apology pie" one and everyone knew who the stpry was about. That's why I think that when Celia mentions Minnie's pie they all laugh.
Hope it helps😊

This movie brings so many emotions to the top, but when you boil it right on down, ladies like Minnie and Celia, they win in the end, whether anyone ever sees that or not. Good will win in the end.
Amen, that is true.

I never understood how so many women can just go along with what one woman says. Even grown adults. I myself have been the victim of a hater who has turned other women against me and they all go along with it. It's crazy that none of them have minds of their own. It's so cruel to isolate one person like that.
My coworkers know I'm one of the most trustful people in the office: I don't make gossiping, don't encourage gossiping, tell the qualities of a person who is gossiped.
So, even if I have no friends at work (nor outside work...), no one is leaguing against me. Adults know to never attack the single person who might save your back someday. :)
Weak minds follow the leader..teenage girls, mom groups, coworkers
Socially...there's the top....and there's the bottom. 99 percent of people fall roughly in the middle. The people in the middle are raised their entire lives and taught not to make waves lest either not ever being at the top....or worse....being labeled as an outcast. It's for the latter reason that people go along with things that are very wrong....all to preserve someone's ego
Thank you for verbalizing what I was thinking. It's like all it takes is one person to go "No, Hilly, that is not something I wanna do. It's not kind"
My in-laws did this to me & my bby’s father. Resulting in our bby’s birthday parties being pretty empty of other cousins & family members but never empty of love. Their hate towards our relationship & us as individuals bled onto our bby. They didn’t celebrate her into this world. That hurt. They could’ve left my bby & the kids outta their drama that they started. Mind you I didn’t do sht but defend me & my man for them attacking him & our relationship. They were all basically mad that since he moved out & got w me they didn’t have a punching bag & someone they can use as a chauffeur & atm. & they took that out on me & our bby by excluding us in fam gatherings. & to further alienate us from outside family in the states, they called them, victimized themselves in the mess they created, & told them their one sided stories, mentioning us not coming around no more but not saying why & not saying all the fcked up things they’ve done & said, just to make sure we had no outside emotional support knowing they already turned most of the fam against us & knowing that would eventually bleed onto our bby’s future like birthday parties & things like that. Everyone went along w their h8 train including the men & even though the men didn’t participate, they didn’t say or do anything abt it. So they enabled the women in the fam basically. & this all happened while I was preggo. As if antepartum depression, pregnancy, & postpartum depression wasn’t already difficult. My daughter’s father ended up getting high blood pressure, gaining unhealthy weight, eating his emotions outta stress..I became suicidal & even more depressed & stressed than I already was. All my so called friends abandoned me when they found out I was expecting. My parents are toxic so I couldn’t count too much on them to make me feel better bc they also added to my stress. We went through too much unnecessary cr@p. They did even more b.s that I left out so these things were just the tip of the iceberg. We’re doing better now.🥹but I still cry myself to sleep some days bc we didn’t get to fully enjoy those 1st beautiful yrs of parenthood/fatherhood/motherhood. Those are yrs I can’t get back. I can’t go back & relive my pregnancy. It breaks my heart to this day & it’ll always be at the back of our minds. That’s why we still keep our distance bc we refuse to let them continue to take from us. Unless ppl are adding value, peace, memories, kindness & happiness into your life, cut them off! It can save your life! It’s saving ours! Parents, siblings, cousins, best friends, uncles, aunts, all of that! It’s bc we don’t tolerate or come around or let ppl back in that we now are living a happier & peaceful life.🥲They didn’t just want to disrupt my peace, they wanted me gone. They wanted to destroy us. But we came out stronger w the knowledge that we don’t need anybody but eachother. Every couple of yrs we keep moving farther & farther!😂So many ppl have no souls. Some ppl are pure evil. Be careful.

Actually, those mean girls didn’t deserve her not the other way around. She was too good for them.
@@flenif2247 my daughter experienced something like that when she was still in well it’s grades one through six. I think I forget how it works here. It’s what they call primary school because her friends the kids who would play with her were Ethiopian you know when she first came home and she was really upset. She asked me why the other girls treated them the way they did and I had to explain to her what racism was because like she didn’t quite understand and when I was her age, I didn’t either understand, how people can hate another people just on the colour of their skin to me. People were people they still are for the most part. Those girls became her best friends when she told me the others wouldn’t let those girls play with them. I got her her own. I guess you call it the equivalent of a jump rope, so that she and her friends could play but the thing about racism it’s the grown-ups who teach it and they’re the ones who spread it around to their children imagine a child growing up going to the playground at five years of age they see a kid there the kids quiet doesn’t say anything but the five-year-old kid knows exactly what that kid wants to do. He wants to play on the seesaw so he says you wanna play on the seesaw kid and then another kid right across the way near the ground/sandbox makes the comment don’t play with him. He’s dumb five-year-old turns around and says he doesn’t look dumb to me. so the kids decides she’s lacking. An education says oh he can’t speak he’s dumb so the five year-old turns around and says no I think you’re dumb. I understand him just fine.
And I think that’s the problem with humanity very small minds very small gene pool and a very small attitude so much so that they feel that the only way they can be big is by belittling others and bullying others. I don’t know about you, but I find that sad , but that is the way of the world unfortunately.

She turns her small town on its ear by choosing to interview the Black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent white families. Only Aibileen (Viola Davis), the housekeeper of Skeeter's best friend, will talk at first. In my opinion none of those women who followed that head honcho deserved to he even have such a kind woman in their lives as a friend. If they are so rotten but they can't even think for themselves, following one evil woman to treat someone else badly, that speaks volumes. I wouldn't want to be a part of that.
Yes, exclusion is a form of bullying. It was their loss. We must build up our fellow queens!
Last year my neighbor had a party and invited everyone on the block except one family. I didn’t go because I thought that was very mean. The next day she went into hysterics over something (literally flapping her arms, crying - tantrum. I just told her that I just wasn’t interested in going and I didn’t like that she excluded them. Two days ago she started taunting my 86 year old mother while she was unpacking her groceries. She kept saying “you’re deaf…yes you must be deaf…and my mother asked “am I bothering you? Why are you bothering me?” Then this evil person took out her phone and started saying “you’re senile too, you’re really senile come on I’m filming you…you’re senile!” My neighbor must be related to Hilly. When I confronted her saying my mother told me what happened and I wanted to know what would compel her to do such a thing she said my mother was lying and I was blinded to her lies. She said she didn’t film her and I could look at her phone ..then said she was filming her erratic behavior so I could see it. I simply told her that I advised my mother to have no interactions with her and I’m requesting that she do the same. I also said that going forward we would have no further interactions except with regard to house insurance (we have adjoining townhouses and shared insurance for the overall structure). Thank you. I took a look at my Google Nest video clips and I saw what happened. My mother wasn’t lying - she stood there while this deranged person was pulling out her phone motioning with her hands to my mother and filming her.
No wonder Good old Book says that most will end up in flames. This is a perfect example of humanity right here.

My whole life I have been a Celia Foote. That is why I love that character in The Help. It reminds me that no matter how genuinely kind and good I am to others that there will be people who will judge me negatively, superficially and be mean to me for no reason BUT that that is due to their lack of character NOT mine. She is far,far nicer than the snobby upstarts ,it's very nasty to treat good people like this,as some do in reality
Celia Foote is what is right in this world. She was too good for Hilly.
Absolutely
That Chastain girl gives remarkable performances, the best actress these days in my book ❤❤❤
Jessica Chaistan (Celia) is stellar in this film. You can't help but be drawn into her character.
Phenomenal acting throughout the WHOLE movie omg!
This movie broke my heart! I know I would have never treated another human being so poorly.
Unfortunately, some women are treating other women like this and without given reason. Nastiness
Please tell me the name of this movie? I’ve never seen it but it looks good.
@@patriciasmith7074That movie is called The Help. It came out in 2011.
@@patriciasmith7074…..The Help. It’s an EXCELLENT movie.
I thought this was a show. I thought it was called housewives
I relate so much to Celia's character. Pure soul in a tough world. Innocence made to seem as naivety or stupidity. She married the right man & the she's the right one for him- equally yoked. His character has a good heart too
You be the kind person you are
Do not change for anyone

Same
Celia was the best! Such a big heart and the absolute sweetest! No wonder Johnny chose her! I love her & Minnie’s friendship, it was more like a sisterhood really. One of the best movies I’ve ever seen 💜💜💜
😢😢😢 this scene hurt me to my core
She is a wonderful actress 😊 She adapts to her character seamlessly. She is a true treasure ❤️
Movie, s name please🥺
@@rougebordeau3618 The Help 📽️
She had a kind soul that would shine from the inside and show on the outside. Like a flower from a garden of the richest, natural soils and the finest nutrition. Those women (mainly Hilly) were weeds in a garden of pesticides and tainted soil. Celia deserves so much better.
I feel so much for Celia because I was treated just like her for absolutely no reason.
The book was rejected by publishers 60 times. One of the GREATEST stories ive ever read and film ive ever seen.
I know exactly how she feels. People are so cruel.
I hated this scene because they were so mean. I could feel it
Yes they were and she deserves better than that
@@SuperSoldier26And she knows it
What a beautiful movie. All the performances were amazing 👏👏👏👏👏
That pie was perfect for Elizabeth. Sometimes we really are what we eat.
Uw i rewatched this movie dozens times becoz of her. She is a real definition of beauty outside and inside.. beautiful..
What is the title of this movie? 😊
what’s it called
@justicefaithh it's called The Help. It's REALLY good
@piencorpuz3358 it's called The Help. (An amazing movie/book)
That's how people treat me on most occasions. I have no friends and when I try people behave like that towards me.
You're not alone.
I hopre that you can enjoy your own company like I do. :)
You have a friend now
Turn to Christ. I was treated this way all my life but I now know that not being accepted was my saving grace.
@@judyhalsell9510 No reason to turn to your imaginary friend
Same here. Guess there is more of us than I realized
I feel really really sorry for her, she's super kind 😢❤❤❤
I love how often that pie comes back to haunt her
This is why I don't show up to places I'm not invited to. 😢
No Elizabeth was just a mean rotten person
Same. My mom will ask me about family events and if I wasn't invited by the host, whoever they are, I will not go. I don't show up uninvited and I don't do third-party invitations. @@lorimaloney1160
Same thing like this happened in videos happened to me many times by my friends except i am man
Well i can relate to her properly
@@shaktimishra9710 those are not friends..😮
They did her dirty..... But she'll grow stronger 💪
She got back at them
Celia was so pure hearted like her husband she truly didnt deserve the cruelty
Celia didn't deserve to be treated that way. I felt so bad for her, the way she suffered in silence.
Bryce Dallas Howard is such a good actress, she made me hate Hilly with actual *PASSION* 👏🏻
I think it's Jessica Chaistain
Jessica Chastain played Cecilia Foote and Bryce Dallas Howard played Hilly the awful
@@starklingspars8956
It is but Bryce Dallas Howard is the evil hateful leader of the mean women. She is Ron Howard’s daughter.
behaviour like this happens to me quite often 😢 i can feel her emotions.
That's because you are One of the Chosen Ones. 💪💗
How inhuman can one be to hurt someone like this😢
Love Jessica Chastain..💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💯✨😻
Saddest thing...those horrible women
