This method is applied in many parts of the world , from China to the middle East to North Africa with differences in additive or tools and proven to be the strongest and longest lasting . I like Skylarks work. What is really puzzling is how clean he works. I too am in the same line of work and consider the videos very educational .
meanwhile really good for your work and then I would have a question, but to do your job (I think he is a painter you said in a video) you use old shirts and trousers that you no longer use in everyday life, or you buy them just for this? And then you put the clothes you use for work in a kind of closet as they are dirty from the work you do? I ask you this because I, being passionate about do it yourself, I wondered if I had to use old clothes to do painting works etc.
Thank you for your query. The green liquid is seaweed powder mixed with water. We add this to the cement in order to keep the cement soft and to help delay the cement from hardening and drying out too quickly. It also acts as a bonding agent between the cement foundation and floor tiles.
Thank you for sharing your experience concerning the traditional method of tile installation. This is what we call half dry and half wet construction method. And this method can ensure that your floor tile installation is almost 100% vertical and horizontal. Once the floor tiles are all installed, and after about 7 days it becomes as solid as rock. Another point we add is to remind you to apply buttering to the back of tile in order to strengthen the installation. Pay more attention about your instruments such as suction pad and ruler, laser machine, and trowels. Step by step. piece by piece you will succeed. Any further questions, please feel free to ask.
+Sky Lark it looks like the most un-uniform mud mix I think I have ever seen. Why don't you thoroughly mix the cement and sand before adding the water so that the cement is evenly dispersed in the mix?
+Sky Lark hi sir, first of all thank you for sharing your professional work' could you please let me know what is the liquid you let on the floor at 11:10
Thank you for your question. It is simply a ratio 1 cup cement, 3 or 4 cup sand and 2 cups water. So, ratio equals 1-4-2. This is the capacity and preparation. We hope this is clear. If you have any further query, please feel free to ask. Thanks again.
This seems way too time consuming. I reckon you should mix through thoroughly, dig your hole in dry mix, use a bucket to poor in water, then mix until consistency reaches required, using your garden sprinkling bucket to ensue a moist consists any. Using a screeding rods is probably fine on no wet areas. You could screed off 10sqm. Sprinkle cement dust over srcreeded section to act as and adhesive and using a rubber mallet, tap tiles until they are embedded flat and even with each other.

You have been so busy like myself keep up the great work my good friend :):)
Do they have problems with leveling or breakage due to laying tile directly on dirt ?
They are not on dirt... they are over a sand an cement dry mixture( very little water )
He didn't even mix the sand and cement evenly. And why would you run a metal level across your new a new tile floor?
Should I follow this method or lay a proper concrete foundation first? I want to use spacers as well.
with this method you need compaction equipment, otherwise tiles will go crooked in a mater of days. BTW concrete foundation is proper way to do it.
I'm working this profession and I liked the way the traditional way of working, what the strength of this installation
