    I adore it in 8, on 200cc it's killing. I also don't think the gray colors looked better, I don't mind the new colors, but the track does lose a lot of identity. I'll stick by my opinion that the 8DX version is an amazing course at the same level of the original, while it lost a few things, it also received some other great new things, and it got rid of some of the biggest blunders of the 7 version. Also in my opinion the visuals of Koopa Kape in 8 are absolutely fantastic! It's all so pleasing to look at! It just has an identity crisis, screw you, Tour developpers. I am sad however that the fish didn't make it over to the 8DX version for some reason, which is rediculous since there *are plenty of fish in this game already* and having them actually be a threat once would be nice

    Imagine how good it would be if it was included in the base 8.

    I stole this off from somewhere else, put it perfectly encapsulates nintendo's treatment to retro courses now.
    "Nintendo captures the lightning in a bottle, but fails to realise what made it so good."
    Honestly, my disappointment to seeing how a majority of wii tracks are in mk8 deluxe now feel lifeless and boring made me go to the attic, dig out my wii that hasn't seen the light of day in 5 years, plop in mkwii and play it for 3 hours straight.

    Tbh the MK7 & MK8DX remakes’ tunnel parts just feel like a harder version of the underwater part of Cheep Cheep Cape…

  • @CaptainRillaboomArmenia
    @CaptainRillaboomArmenia 6 месяцев назад +1

    The main problem of the remakes is that now the tunnel just feels like any underwater section, which is already a huge downgrade.

    I agree with most of what was said here. The original is one of my favorite courses of all time while the 7 version is a major downgrade and the 8 Deluxe version is even worse. Despite all my complaints however, I still like every version of Koopa Cape because I mean it's still Koopa Cape. At least it didn't get the Sunset Wilds treatment which is in the same wave.

    • @iLoveBread260

      How is the 8 Deluxe version worse than the 7 version? At least it has halfpipes in the 8 Deluxe version, and at least they removed the pointless glider ramp from the start to a regular ramp the way it was meant to.

    • @Sammykyt
      @Sammykyt 8 месяцев назад

      @@iLoveBread260 I get what you’re saying but that doesn’t make up for the 8 Deluxe version looking and feeling worse overall even compared to the 7 version. It just doesn’t hit quite the same as the previous 2 versions of the track. Also the half pipe in the again inferior underwater section is unnecessary and I don’t get why it’s anti-gravity with no obstacles. Even after all that complaining though, I still like the 8 Deluxe version of Koopa Cape but it just isn’t as enjoyable as the Wii and 7 versions for me.

    As a huge MKWii fan, I wasn’t really mad at the BCP version of this track as it had the same inoffensive but worse changes/edits from the inferior MK7 version of the track. It still hurts that this is what my favorite course in Wii has become but I don’t think it fell off as hard as Coconut Mall did.

    No offense, but do you think the "adventure" feeling you got was just because you were probably younger when you played Mario kart Wii?
    I do understand the whole underwater glass tube thing, THAT was way better, but Mario Kart 7 was the first Mario Kart game that you could race underwater in, so it makes sense that they would like to show more of that, sort of like how Mario Kart 7 replaced cannons with glide ramps. As for why they copy pasted the rocks from rock rock mountain? I don't guess I really know.

      He said the adventure feeling was gone in MK8DX version only.
      I think that’s because of the cartoony BCP art style.

  • @azumarill964
    @azumarill964 8 месяцев назад +2

    I think the worst part of 8s version is that the track was shrunk. This not only makes it almost impossible to have close races as it is much harder to pass people if the track is so thin, but also ruins the best part of the original course, the quick decision making regarding the lines you have to take along the river in each section.

  • @JosepiThe13th

    The “mad physics” you’re talking about on Wii is literally just MKWii physics in general. Light combos like the Bullet Bile and Jet Bubble shoot up really high from a trick ramp, but the heavier combos like Flame Runner and Spear just go off ramps like normal. The medium weight ones (Mach Bike, Dolphin Dasher, and Sneakster) get a small upward boost but it’s not that noticeable most of the time. So the physics for the track weren’t change going into 7 and 8. It’s just different physics of the game as a whole.

  • @CaptainRillaboomArmenia
