I love love love all your vlogs! The style of editing is so relaxing and soothing. I watch every video and look forward to new updates. Travelling through your lens is so nice when the world is overall so depressing right now. Thank you for continuously putting out content.
@@SamandVictor It looks like you like tonkatsu. If you are still in Japan, It might be a good idea to go to Marugo (丸五 秋葉原) one of my favorite restaurant.
KINJI! I remember shopping there at age 18 whilst being an impoverished exchange student. We'd eat McDonalds on Takeshita street, stare longingly at the crepes and save our pennies for KINJI and the amazing emporium upstairs (can't remember the name now as it was 17 years ago!) haha good times :D
I’ve discovered your channel recently and have been binge watching all your Japan vlogs ❤ so aesthetic and calming!! I wanted to ask how was Tokyo stay in Ginza? I’m going there in Feb with my parents but I’m worried about the noise (as it’s next to the train station), room size and whether there’s a lobby space for eating breakfast from 7-eleven 😅
If you watched our subsequent Tokyo vlogs you’ll know we ended up staying there again several times haha. I really like the location of that hotel and even though the rooms are compact it’s really comfy and only 30 mins door to door from haneda! But mine wasn’t next to a train station (it’s the higashi Ginza one right?) so no noise problem. You could sit at the lobby but might be kind of weird haha
@@SamandVictor thank you so much for replying ❤😊 yes i think it's the one near higashi ginza! good to know you guys liked it as I saw mixed reviews online. Thank youuu!
The most overrated Ramen joint is without a doubt Fuunji in Shibuya/Shinjuku I can't even remember where it actually is. Foreigners who don't know any better keep getting fed recommendations on social media featuring this place but it's by far the worst ramen (and worst dining experience) I've ever had in Japan. Horrible.
OMG this is hilarious, stumbled upon your vlog on youtube. I remember watching your Paris vlog before heading to Paris, and now, this before heading to Japan soon :P
I just can't wait to go. It has been on my wish list for many years and it will be truly a dream coming true. Curious about the raw shrimp if you go to Michelin restaurant or Omakase, is it truly not acceptable if I won't eat it? I get easy food poisoned from sea food and the raw will do it for me 100%.
Going through your vlogs again for Tokyo hotel recs and feel like you guys would really love the Muji hotel in Ginza! So minimalist yet so luxe in all the important areas, and complimentary Muji items too. We got a larger sized room and it was the best. The breakfast buffet is good value too. Anyway hope you guys get a chance to visit Sydney Australia soon 😎
Hi Sam!! would you recomend traveling to Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto) the las week of October/first week of november? Do you think it's super crowded? Do you think there is already some fall foliage? Thanks a Lot!!
What room specifically is this in the Prince Tokyo Tower hotel please? I’m trying to find one similar where I’d get a guarantee view of the tower. Thanks!:)
i had to laugh at Jiro cult😂 I had similar experience queuing for more than an hour at Dominique Ansel bakery in Omotesando, finally by the time i could place my order sakura special was sold out i had to settle for something else I love getting haircut, gel nails & eyelash extensions in Japan (brow shaping a few times) the service is amazing & techniques are very different😊
@@vvc2137 i prefer Omotesando, Aoyama, Shibuya or Daikanyama. It varies, depending when & with whom you can get an appointment. Best nailist or estheticians are fully booked 2-3 weeks ahead
@@SamandVictor I sent you a DM on IG with few recommendations😊👍🏻 Hopefully it’s helpful. Many nail salons are very small that’s why scheduling an appointment spontaneously is difficult😓
8:02 haha, Jiro is the most manly ramen. Thick and hard noodles, pork fat, garlic, thin broth that tastes completely different from restaurant to restaurant....Although not outstandingly delicious, Jiro-junkies love the volume and high calorie content.
7:20 I mean not surprised since it’s Kabukicho, since isn’t the better rated one in Mita? Secondly you could just order an egg with a ticket lol it’s one of the purple buttons or at least it was purple lol ALSO A WASHER DRYER? Bruh I had a hard time looking for hotels with one 😅
If you guys return, please pop back to one of my comments and let me know so I can give you a short list of my top recommendations as going by your vlogs you've not been to any of them. Anybody wanting some great general recommendations for really hidden, niche shops, cafes and other things to do in and around Tokyo, let me know. I'll gladly help. I REALLY appreciate getting recommendations (and tips) from other people and so I'm returning the gesture. ☕☕🗾🚶♀
For context we were living in Canada for 8 months since Hong Kong’s covid measures were really strict back then so we just had a lot of stuff to bring home (we just made a long pitstop in Tokyo haha)
it's not horrible but normally it's a dark roast and a lot of cafes don't measure the amount of milk they put in their lattes resulting in a very milky ratio of coffee
How blessed you two able to travel to Tokyo. Supposedly, Tokyo has the most Michelin star restaurants. Food heaven!
Watching your videos coz family plan to go to Japan next year. You guys are so artistic and articulate as well. Nice videos and editing is so cool.
My first trip to Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵 was in Dec 2019. I went there alone, not knowing anyone and first time ever in my life. It’s amazing 🤩

Ramen Jiro is very popular. The ramen and the ingredients are very generous.😀

I think it’s called kicks crew? It’s in Harajuku
Hi Sam, the room you booked in Prince Park Tokyo Tower, it is the Panoramic corner room ? Does it comes with the Balcony ?
The vlog is awesome glad that you two enjoyed Tokyo ❤
We stayed in 2 different rooms- so the one with balcony is the panoramic one.. the corner one is different but I forgot the name
omg that's so cute you guys were kinda matchy matchy during the tempura dinner 😭me and my so when
thank you!!
Didn't know they had a Bills in Tokyo. Might try and go to compare with the one we have in Sydney
oooh Where did you get the new balances from?

the panoramic corner king!

haha yeah I can see how it would appeal to college students! I guess I should've researched before queuing XD
if you don't have the boost can you visit with an updated PCR test?
Hm not sure about booster but we didn’t have to take any PCR tests to enter the country

Hi can you pls mention prices for haircut men and women?and gel polish, how much is the prices estimation?thnks so much😊😊😊
mine came out to be around USD 125 for cut and color

Can you comment on the salon? Do you recommend it after your experience?
i wish it was more 'extreme' but it's good for a decent cut if you know what i mean? lol. but no problem in communicating since they do speak english!
can you list the names of the restaurants that you went to? thanks!
All the names and addresses are embedded in the vlog!
Thanks for the video! I assume masks aren’t mandatory anymore there? Man, need to go visit again!!! ❤
it's not mandatory but people generally wear them everywhere.. so we wear them indoors most of the time!

You don’t need to touch the toilet lid and toilet seat. You just push the upper controller on the wall and they move up and down.
does that apply for every single toilet here??
How long did you stay in total in Japan?
Around 6 weeks!
what is the hair salon called? :))))
Sozo! I put the address in the video

it's not horrible but normally it's a dark roast and a lot of cafes don't measure the amount of milk they put in their lattes resulting in a very milky ratio of coffee

It’s 6 months of stuff from Canada!
good you guys ate donuts seated and standing. bad manners in japan to eat and walk outside.
