I'm watching SM videos because 2020 killed theatre and I cry about it. Jereme seems like a rock star, I'd love to ASM for him and learn his style. I do much smaller productions where the responsibilities of many "departments" fall on me. I'm so grateful and proud to be a stage manager. I need to get myself a jumpsuit like that!
We’ll work your way into the SM in high school then find any crew jobs on large production. Find a contact(Director, AD, or producer) work with Then until they see your skill and give you a ASM job and eventually you can be SM. However if you want to speed up the process you could apply for a SM position but if you don’t have good past experience you likely won’t get one and if you do it will likely only be for one show.
Those are just black coveralls. You can likely get them on any major merchandise website. Or at this link below smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=black+coveralls
Yeah u are so motivational ....:) :) :) I have a question , How I start theater , I really love to play drama , in my schooling I played many roles , solo performance and group play also . Please give me some advice :) :) :) :)
Payal sisodia 0809 it all depends on your age. I just turned 14 but I have been involved in theater since I was 7. In my experience, a lot of it is networking (just be your best self and work hard and spend as much time at the theatre as possible) I originally started as an assistant stage manager, and started to take on more and more responsibilities. If possible start working crew for your local theaters and grow from there. Good luck, I hope theatre takes you far!
I steel your food cause I’m a Ravenclaw especially at my school cause most of the time the air conditioning in my school’s auditorium almost never works
honestly I don't see the color as a big factor, it doesn't have much of an influence outside of direct (sun)light in my experience. Thick, heavy fabrics are what sucks to wear when it's hot. Which sucks for me because I prefer wearing thick, substantial fabrics because of their feel (and I wear all black, (almost) all the time, independent of work).

Im curious as to whether you participated in a stage crew during your high school career? and if that would be beneficial.
what are some starter jobs which could lead your way in becoming a stage manager?

I hate the facts that we have to wear all black, it’s going to be so hot!

You get used to it. Bring some water bottles to stay hydrated.
