Hannibal was one of the best generals in all history and even he was not able to defeat the Romans, after several, SEVERAL major defeats. As much respect Hannibal deserves, the Republic deserves more
For sure the Romans learned, adapted and were ultimately victorious
Not having sea superiority really hampers Hannibal's ability to properly reinforced his army
Yeah big problem that never really got solved
Even in modern times having good manpower and logistics are essential
he was pretty much financing the war alone wasn't he? imagine what he could have done if Carthage backed him 100% and gave him what he needed when he needed it
yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
What do you think of the TikTok theory that the Roman Empire never existed
I just saw her video and its already accepted that Rome did not have total control of the Mediterranean until the 2nd century BC. She really isn't stating anything we already do not know. But the rest of her claims are just ridiculous - Hadrians wall isn't Roman? I mean can we even take her seriously?
