The lyrics of this song are iincredibly transcendant, the orchestration is fabulous, and Joni Mitchell's voice and soul transform it into a miraculous expression of the philosophy of life and love. A deeply moving listening experience indeed.
I'm not 60, I'm 20. I feel like I'll come back to this, if I don't forget. And honestly, I hope I'll be able to relate then as I do now, because it seems like all the problems start when you feel like you know something too well. It's almost like I depend on being clueless to be happy and I'm scared shitless of losing that.
I saw a documentary where Joni stated she would have loved to change some of her old songs with the knowledge she acquired through the years. This specific video is one of those changes she made many years after the first recording. Like wine she just made it better over time. Great version!

This is a beautiful video, there's just something about the snow that I love. It's been about a year now since I first heard this song, there is such a sadness to her voice, and yet, it's still so beautiful. I first heard this song after @ImonSnow spoke of it. I was watching her reaction to Outlander 1x8 - "Both Sides Now"
There's a scene she loves where Reverend Wakefield is talking to Frank and he says,

In her videos Imon sometimes talks about the light, sometimes she refers to it as a lamp, other times it's a candle, she said,

For anyone that's reading this and doesn't know who @ImonSnow is, then I'll tell you a little bit about her. She does reaction videos to Movies and TV Shows, but her channel is so much more than that, it's her. She really cares about people and about what she does, she cares for the story, for the characters and the message the story is trying to tell us. At the end of her videos she shares her thoughts and takes the time to talk about things. I really love how much she feels for the characters, the way she connects to the story, the way she feels and experiences all of it. She's really beautiful, in every sense of the word.
