A complete, tenacious and consistent two-footed player, Nedved frequently played as a left-sided, offensive wide midfielder or as a left-winger throughout his career, due to his crossing ability with his left foot, as well as due to his ability to cut inside and shoot with his right foot, although he was capable of playing anywhere in midfield due to his offensive and defensive work-rate. He was also deployed as a central midfielder on occasion,] as well as in an attacking midfield and playmaking role, or as a supporting striker,[84] where he excelled as an assist-man due to his excellent dribbling ability, passing range, and vision. Primarily known for his powerful shots and volleys from distance, as well as his stamina, he was also noted for his speed, endurance, technique and goal-scoring ability. He was also an accurate set-piece and penalty kick taker.

When Juventus were forced to play in Serie B most of the players left the club. Buffon, Nedved and Del Piero stayed.
Chiellini too, and he could've signed for anyone back then, pretty sure a few others also stayed. The mercenaries who where there for just a couple of seasons all went after better contracts ofc.

i'm gonna be honest with u, they were the scape goat in my idiotic opinion ... i'm not saying that they were squeeky clean, but Milan/Berlusconni got of clean, and if Milan got off clean, i mean cmon ... and when u look at the players Juve had at the time,when they were dominating europe, it was an open buffet for the big clubs to grab legends at ''nothing" prices .... thuram, zambrotta, camoranesi, makelele, vieira, cannavaro, etc .... i'm not saying juve are not at fault , i don't know .... but it just doesn't feel right, something didn't add up ... FOR ME !!!!
@@rusenescualin3739 Ah! You don't say! Juventus was obviously a scapegoat, there was a lot of stuff that never came out. And not only was Milan arguably worse, but Inter Milan especially were the only one proven to talk with referees while asking for favors.
Juventus didn't buy those 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 seasons, it's on record, in court. Not to mention just look at that team, they were unbeatable in Serie A.
But it's not only about football either, behind Juventus there's always been a war between very powerful families, Agnelli and Elkann.
Elkann wanted to erase the "triad" Moggi, Giraudo and Bettega, since they wanted to buy and own the club. Calciopoli almost surely started from people behind Juventus itself.
He had EVERYTHING, defensive and offensive skill. Pace, stamina, aggresiveness, speed, dribbling, vision, shoot, pass, pressing....and PURE AGONISM. Quality and quantity. Incredible player. First pick in my 11 dream team (and not only mine, who played with him always had spoken incredible things about him). Nedved the FURY

Great Player one of the best left midlefilders in history if not the best When I started watching football he was stil playing in lazio I already liked him so when I heard he will play for juventus my favorite Club I was very happy and he become one of my all time favorites. Hated him while he was active. In retrospect, he was one of the more unique footballers I have ever seen.
He was never really flashy or elegant, but he was everything else and more.
He may have been the only true ambidextrous player I have ever seen and he had a jackhammer in both feet, which basically cannot be defended. You never knew which one he was gonna use and he was a brilliant shooter.
He had an elite football IQ and lots of creativity. Whereas technically brilliant players often over-complicate things, he sometimes only made that one touch and turned the game around.
He oozed charisma. He was feisty. You could feel his presence on the pitch. He had infectious drive, never gave up, always passionate to win -- and furious when losing. Not only he pressured the opposing teams by his plays, he also pressured his own teams by having that contagious inner fire. He often played like man possessed. A very strong X-factor. Never the one to disappear.
Whence comes his main weakness. Nedved was chippy to a fault and at times did stupid things. Not often, but... Sometimes, he did, and losing a guy like him was always gonna hurt his team.
Anyway, definitely a man to build the team around. It sometimes makes me laugh when he gets compared with flash in the pan type of players who were more flamboyant but never as good.

Because he was that type of player you hate unless he plays for your team.
He made a difference, he was tough, slightly nasty, he was also a good and cynical diver, which drives the opposing team fans nuts. and...
And when Ronaldinho beats you, he at least dances around defenders, smiles and makes it look like "fun". Nedved bonked you with an iron bar.

I am Milanista in the depths of my heart, but I always liked Nedved, like I liked Delpiero, Ronaldo, and all those who inflicted goals and defeats to my team by the exceptional skills they had. My only regrets is them not playing for Milan
