Brother, I'm glad to see the freshest party update. There are really too few parties in Australia. I'm talking about the Chinese circle. My car is R59 jcw.
Way cool event. Very nice must have been lots of fun. Just want to say is there any love out there for base mini's? at most events I watch on line all I tend to see are S models and JCW and heavy modded versions of those etc which of course are fast cars and enthusiasts with money buy those. But not all enthusiasts have that kind of money the base are fun too and I somehow feel we are the ugly step child at these events scared to even go. Also we tend to be those who this is our only car and is our daily driver. We are just as enthusiastic about our mini's however but we are more practical since we need them to last a long time and be used everyday. These events seem to be for richer people. Other than that complaint it looks like a lot of fun from way over here in the corner with my base F55.
There were plenty of standard minis there as well. It's not for lack of money (most of the time) you don't see many standard minis just most standard mini owners aren't really into cars so don't go to these events. If you have a passion for cars it's more likely you will have the faster version or modified version. However the Mini runs I organise less than half are modified most are just standard minis with a passion for the brand. I'd never feel embarrassed or unwelcome just because you have a standard mini as we all share the same passion. It also makes your car more unique in these events than the cooper s and the jcws.
