The most impressive scene i've ever seen.. Though it's acting, but it carries deep feeling of determination to go on and on however things are.. As long as there's life and we're still breathing, nothing is impossible. We can do it and achieve what we're looking for.

The thing that makes this scene so great is everyone was expecting the Daniel larusso crane kick but they got a full on backflip kick and that took the movie to a whole other level
The level of jank wire fu -.-
And it's a cobra stance.
That's what took me out of it. He shouldn't be able to do a move like that, he hasn't been training Kung Fu all his life.
that backflip was vfx , he didnt even jump to peerform it

This is Instinct. When you've gone through so much already and when you're at your weakest, you have that inside you that forces you to do something that you've never done before. And that's what happened here.
Cobra Style was all about being one with your mind. Believe or not, we are the strongest at our most vulnerable states.
That backflip kick that he did was insane

My cousin and her boyfriend took her siblings and me to the movies to watch The Karate Kid and at this precise scene, I got so pumped that I kicked the chair in front of me. The lady sitting in it turned to see what's happening and saw a bunch of kids jumping up and down (along with many other moviegoers) and 2 mortified teenagers trying to keep them in check. The lady gave my worried cousin a big smile and gave me a karate bow, stupid me got hyped because.... she was Asian!!! 🤣

the one thing i will say somewhat contradictory is the physical. the backflip kick was REALLY phantom, to the point its somewhat distracting to me. emotions and all that were great. but the physical was sorta absent. i suspect that comes from their age too though. in that the ability to throw a punch and hard stop an inch away from the target is something difficult to pick up even over a few years. i didn't think this was a bad movie, though i think this fell into a similar pitfall the avatar last airbender movie did : it gets compared to its source material, and because it doesn't hold up to THAT, it gets generally panned.
@@edschramm6757 The Last Airbender was bad on its own even if you don't compare it to the original

This ending is much more emotional than what we had in KK1. Just like in the original, Cheng gave the trophy to Dre, but we could see in those few seconds and in their smiles that the war between them was over. I refuse to believe their rivalry continued like Daniel and Johnny did in Cobra Kai.

Settilalli Settipalli True... *very* true.
BOOYAH ! YAMAHA Kung fu kid is the name for the Chinese version.
They kept the Karate Kid title to make it more nostalgic
Fox Master You’re right, but, “Kung Fu Dream” is the name in China.
Remember what Han thought him, He told him before while he is in training "be strong, Stay focus, concentrate, and attitude". In the end of tournament, he finally unleased them while he's in desperate situation. He kept away all his desperation and pain. Use his own attitude fearless look to stay focus on rival next move. (obviously it just like cobra's attitude, focus before ready to attack). And maintain his body strong. Once the rival try to charge forward, he used backflip kick as his counter attack just like snake did.
When I was younger, I really hated that Chinese guy so badly
