Loved the video Steve, some great venues fished & top carp caught but more importantly great memories made with two great friends. You & Joan just stars x
You and Shaz were the real stars mate putting up with us for two weeks!! 😁 but we really loved our time together we did so many different things and you just smiled the whole time - it was great !!!!!
Hi Steve, really interesting video from you and jim I've just got back from fishing a still water in France but crossed a lot of canals and a few rivers and often thought it would be the ultimate adventure to experience it😊 you have just wet my appetite again watching this and fingers crossed I will do it one day!!! Atb to you and joan👍Danboy
cheers Danboy I know what you mean, every trip away we drive past so many interesting bits of water and rarely get around to fishing them and this trip showed me how many possibilities are out there if we just give it a go!!
There are three gravel pits that run between the River Durance and Autoroute du Soleil (A7) just outside of Cavallion, Provence. When the river floods fish get stuck in there and there is an abundance of huge crayfish that they feed on. They're not the prettiest lakes but are deep off the edge and I've seen 30LB plus fish come out that fight like mad (having grown up in the river). Well worth a stop if you're on your way to Cassien. Thanks for the video, as always Steve.
Awesome Steve once again 🙌 can I just ask Steve I’ve got the scope ops 3.5lb rods and have had a few hook pulls with them and wasn’t sure if the rods are a bit to stiff in action or if it’s just the barbless hooks ? What’s your view mate as I absolutely love the rods but wasn’t sure if I should have opted for a softer tip action 👍
Hi Ian I use the same rods everywhere, landed a nice 38.8 Colne Valley mirror on them this morning 🙂 I tend to find hook pulls are more down to hook patterns and how you play fish to a lesser extent. Whenever I’ve suffered any amount of hook pulls I’ve changed hooks and that’s normally solved the problem. I’ve had hook pulls on patterns that others swear by but normally it’s the hooks not the rods.
@@stevebriggs4638 I see where your coming from Steve I really appreciate that…. You know what it’s like sometimes you wonder if your doing something wrong or not all mind games lol 😂 but glad you said that because I’ll go back to basics with my rigs I reckon thanks again Steve 👍
Hi Steve, enjoyed as usual something different is the river, I'm on a new water and yet to catch (5acres 2-7 feet deep)and 60 odd carp hard as apparently, what's your advice on getting my first fish ?(done well on small hard waters before but there all slightly different)regards David
Hi Dave impossible without knowing or fishing the place myself but as with any water do the basics right - bait you're confident in, good rig and keep working at it. Often the first one is the most difficult but keep working at it and the clues will come.
love the vid like usuale steve .im am young 13 year old lad and I hade a 40 lb out of cassien y was Wondering if you had any more tips for cassien for me thanks
Sounds like you’re doing ok as it is 😁👍🏻 But really it’s all about getting on the fish and then getting the depth right. I’ll move many times if I don’t feel like I’m on them and then spread the rods and the fish will let you know when it’s right 🙂🙂👍🏻👍🏻🎣🎣🎣
@@stevebriggs4638 thanks for that il will try that the next time I go down there. 0ne thing that I do now about cassien is dont go there in the summer and dont follow the crowd thanks

Amazing video as always ❤
thanks for watching fishingdairies
Enjoyed this one!
All the best to you!! 🎣👍
Glad you enjoyed watching, it was a tiring trip but a brilliant one!!
Good angling. How come your boilies don´t go of during these long sessions and under warm weather conditions?
The Nash stabilised baits will last ok in those conditions, it used to be hard work with freezer baits
Good fishing mate.
cheers

What was the name of the last lake buddy? Great video by the way👍🏼
Cheers Niall, apologies but not naming the venues or locations out of respect for the others who fish them
