Ngl i have male acquaintances who were sexually harassed by older men in Mumbai local train. And i felt so sad for them when they were narrating their experiences and dismissed it away jokingly. My father is a physician and he was falsely charged with sexual assault by a former patient in the emergency room (in a hospital!!). The sister of the husband who probably lives elsewhere, her husband, his parents etc are roped in the case who have nothing to do with case are few examples of what prople may term as a false case.How does the speaker justify these. They are not statistically insignificant

Iam a victim of this false rape cases. I was in a relationship with a girl, we both loved each other wanted to marry each other, then her behaviour changed, we had fights, we both broke up. After some time my marriage was fixed elsewhere, and then 2 days before my marriage my ex gf filed a rape on false promise of marriage charges on me. I was fortunate enough to not go jail, but I had to go completely underground for 2 months till my anticipatory bail was granted, my father faced questions for his son being tagged rapist. Our bank accounts were frozen, my father literally slept in temple to temple for one month. This is no joke, no one has any right to do this to us, but it happened and no one helped us. To this day iam still going fighting the case. If there 10 genuine cases of rape, right now there are 10 fake rape cases also. I invite the girl in the podcast to come visit sessions court sometimes, it'll open her eyes.

Section. 22(1) of pocso act provides a clause for giving false information. There is section 193 of ipc for giving false evidence. One has to file application under section 340 of crpc before the court where false evidence was given. Ngl i have male acquaintances who were sexually harassed by older men in Mumbai local train. And i felt so sad for them when they were narrating their experiences and dismissed it away jokingly. They basically avoided the incident. Men and women both should be educated as to what their rights are when sexual harrasment or rape incidents happen. It works both ways though miniscule. One to empower and second to deterrent or instill a fear that such wrongdoing will not go unpunished.
