The Japanese set had to set itself apart somehow😉. Far superior IMO.
@@light_year6964 it's meh. I mean definitely better but using a word like superior makes it seems much more amazing than it actually is. Master Ball holos are just a unique reverse Holo I'd rather just get English or Korean (which also has master balls)
@@nickcarballo6039 Well besides the fact that it has masterball holos (which directly increase the value for certain Pokemon) it has indisputable better artwork on the reverse side of the cards which make the English set pale in comparison. I'd say calling them superior is an accurate way to put it😁
Bought a box of Japanese 151 cards 2 days ago for $95
151 got loads of people back into the hobby. I’m grateful for that success alone
I am collecting again thanks to 151, trying to get tje full set. I still have 100 of the original base cards. I eventually want a full vintage 1999 set & a full new 151 S&V Set

I’m looking to collect these cards specifically just for the cool card arts. Where is the best places to buy? I saw Walmart had the 151 6 packs for $28. Also Amazon has the snorlax pack fjr $54. Where is the best to buy?

Thought they said as long as there was demand they’d keep printing so it’s definitely gonna stay around 120 at least from what I’d heard

Been collecting the English 151 for a while now but am seriously tempted to also start buying the Japanese and Korean versions - the master ball versions of reverses are so cool!

There is currently english restock hitting Walmart for 151 and the pull rate is completely different , harder . You can now open a booster bundle and get nothing. Before you would get at least something from a bundle but they definitely did something
I’ve only seen mini tins show up at one of my four Walmarts and that was a month ago. More to come soon?
Just found the last two alakazam ex boxes back in the toy section where they sell a few pokemon toys and such at my Walmart yesterday
I'm in the UK but I completely agree that the pull rate has been a lot worse since the reprint.
I just bought one the other day from walmart and only hit the mew ex.
I got a alakazam EX box and pulled nothing a week ago, it was the only 151 ive seen in months

they are sub $62 a box now if you know where to look. god packs are like 1/150 packs.
I already opened a Japanese 151 box 1 week ago, and the 151 upcoming yesterday. Got the SAR mew ex from Japanese and a lot of stuff. Hope the prices go up again

Spent a good chunk of change on 151 only to have mid hits really. I have bias since I haven't gotten many pulls out of the set. Masterball cards in the Japanese set look cool though will probably try to rip some soon with the price drop.

I was one of those idiots who bought/traded for five of these Japanese 151 Booster Boxes back in January for over $200 a box.... All I can do is hold, and Dollar Cost Average into some more boxes at these lower prices. Hopefully in a year from now, they'll be back up, which I'm sure they will be. Absolutely love this set though! Best modern set IMO.
Bought 2 boxes for 151.18 before the prices went back up to +100. I missed the boat on evo skies. Not happening again !! Going to be adding more

I heard it wasn't a reprint and distributors in Japan are now saying they are sold out. And I see prices going up now
This is cap. Every Pokémon center is still selling packs and boxes. Most Pokémon centers are selling one box per customer or 20 packs per customer but some Centers are selling up to 5 boxes per customer. The Japanese Pokémon center website is selling these packs 10 per customer. I live here in Japan and just keep buying these whenever I can lol I’m stocked up I literally just bought another box yesterday

I can't find 151 at decent prices anywhere. Last I bought was a tin display that had only one full art pull... I'll be sticking to singles to complete the set...

151 is perfect for people to get started collecting and also for people who want to come back, so grat decision re-printing it :)

Just bought 5 boxes at $92 a piece. Never got the chance to open these up since prices quickly went up when they came out.
I keep seeing ppl say to wait for the boxes to drop more but i just couldn't risk it lol tomorrow is May so we'll see if they go even lower, might get a few more boxes these upcoming weeks if they do drop.
I live in Japan and keep buying these boxes $35 a box. $92 is fuckin nuts I feel bad for y’all over there in the West

I do NOT know why but Pokemon card prices are so wild: first the soar super high, and then drop super low!
In Italy the only 151 I have found is some alamazam ex box, never saw single packs. For this reason I ordered at least the starters directly from Japan.... lost package and now I don't have anything 😃

I found my old "very well played with" Rocket cards recently and started looking at TCG again, 151 has got me with the bug again but so many other packs have been out since i last collected its crazy!! So many people buying them by the box too.
151 has me collecting again. I found celebrations as well and now my kids and I are hooked!
Over here in the UK, it's so hard to get English 151, the product seems very scarce.
The 151 products did not go that much down they are still high prices.

Seemed like pretty decent boxes. I don't have hardly any Japanese 151. A friend gave me a mew ex and Eevee, Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon pokeball reverses ❤It'd be amazing to end up with a masterball of any of those lol. Though I suppose the Eevee would fit right in my eevee binder

You can actually get a god pack in Japanese Pokemon 151 with 2 sets of full evolution lines. I pulled a god pack in one box. Chance of doing it is 1 in every 700 packs. I pulled Squirtle all the way to Blastoise and Charmander to Charizard. I wish I recorded it because that to me is the best god pack you could ever get. It is possible though!
I have not purchased anything from 151, I stopped purchasing sealed items when they started the silver borders. I love the art gallery cards though, purchased some cards separately.
Those pulls were great! I don't really get why these are so expensive. It seems like even with the reprint they aren't printing enough for demand and I thought that was something Pokemon was trying to combat. It's wild that double MSRP is considered plummeting now lol. I wish we had booster boxes in english but I'd like them where there's a chance to get more than one secret in a box. It feels like once you pulled the master ball and the secret the box gets a lot less exciting.
its actually the english version that has the mini god packs with the 3 cards evolutionary line and at japanese packs you get six which they call god pack, you can either get bulba to venau + char to chari or bulba to blast. Great video and pulls nonetheless ^^
I love this set so much! The special art rares are just perfect. Especially love the squirtle line.
Need to dive into this set but probably go English even though I like the condition of Japanese sets !

Just got started collecting again, Pokémon Go got me into it and now I’m in love with 151
Even @ $100/bx u are looking at $5 per pack, comparable to english with better quality and favorable pull rates from what I've seen. That, plus the cost to get them to the US from Japan, is why they are selling at 2x-3x retail here. Just my .02.
The masterball reverse holos are cool, I didn't even know that they exist :D I hope this cheaper reprint will arrive in Europe soon as well :)
