So many killer Death Metal releases in 2022, but Phobophilic might be my favorite. The sound is fantastic, gritty but clear and powerful. Great mid-tempo riffs, some interesting guitar work without going too much overboard. Amazing music.
Necrotic Nick- Finally got my CD copy today and man does this sound great in my car. Some of the best death metal riffing I've heard this year. It really reminds me a lot of the first time I jammed Tomb Mold which that band blew me away right from the rip too.
I’ve been a death metal fan since the early 90s .. I remember my friends older brother showing us all the greats like cannibal , incantation, Deicide and morbid .. I havnt been this excited about death metal since those days .. so many killer bands and releases I can’t even keep up
My copy arrives tomorrow, and your glowing review has me super stoked for this.Loved the singles and to hear that they are not even the best songs,is awesome to hear.Im not usually a fan of the ultra low gurgling vocal style, but these guys are so good instrumentally, that I didn't mind them at all...Great review as always guys, keep em coming!
Wow, so many great releases in the last few days I thought we were back in 2021 haha. This one is def up there with my favs of this year glad to see you guys are going to be reviewing the new Mortuous album
Been listening to a lot of Malignant Altar lately. I've listened to Phobophillic - Enveloping Absurdity record a few times and I loved it. Totally forgot about it as I am discovering new Death Metal bands to the point i forget the names of em a day later lol. Thanks for reminding me again about this epic record 😎
Killer vid as always!! I do have some curiosity regarding bands or albums that you guys dig at all...stuff like Pro-Pain's The Truth Hurts album or Nuclear Assault's Something Wicked album...stuff like that... Of course, i do understand that you dudes are busy as hell...just a curiosity.
I'm finally picking this up. Found a deal for $7. Thanks for the review. Nick, your voice is killer. Perfect for broadcasting.
Cathedrals of Blood is unfathomably good.

This album really is amazing. It's my top death metal album of the year so far.
This album fucking rules! Year end list feels like it's gonna be impossible to make.
That split with Sedimentum kicks ass too!

I ordered it this morning, seems to be a lot of excitement about this one.
I heard that this is these guys first band, which is super impressive. Killer album, awesome production too, those drums sound nice.
Jammin wearing the bolt thrower t!! F yes!! And keep wearing the tigers gear Miller!! Hails
Yea.. this was an album I found a few days ago. And yeah pretty much agree this is slimy and also pretty technical but crazy catchy technical.
I gave this 7.85/10. Mainly because I wished that it was longer. I liked what I heard though. Just my opinion.
I agree with miller. If the guitars just had some beefy crunch, this album would slam even more.I love the hooks, but just want a tad more heft.
Great review
I love this album
