Nice. A race like that from a roll you need to be in higher RPM. You have stock sprocket so the gear is tall, it will take longer to get to the powerband. Drop 1 gear down next time. But that -1 front should help. Also remember changing sprockets your speed on the guage will be different. It may say you are going 230kmh but you are actually going slower. When you change sprockets you should get your speed recalibrated for more accurate speed.
Watch as the GSXR rider looks backwards for 2 seconds too long as he cruises by the VW wagon @7:03 ...He gave his back to the vehicle way too long . Remember we have no clue what a driver is gonna do, Been riding since 1990 trust 2 seconds is all it takes .

Dude that xx has full power from low af rpm even from factory. gixxer have more neutral friendly commute position and significally mid range punch plus 2009 600 has the looks and in white she is a beauty. r6 is a more of a track philosophy bike with awkward really tired for the rider front position seat and extreme low steer feels like you gonna slide on the tank or your face gonna smash the gauges. much less windshield protection also and she dont like going slow. but give her some throttle and everything wrong as a commuter instantly make sense. the connection with the rider the how easily turns makes it almost telepathetic the high rev yamaha tone and the how easily responses after 8000rpm all the way to redline she makes r6 a very unique for a 600 bike in my book but ok im a yamaha follower boy what do i know haha
Some of you are very uneducated. This is just a gearing comparison. The k8 has shorter gearing and pulls til it has to shift. Then the r1 starts catching but the gsxr lets off. My old gsxr had lost to enough r1s to make me want one lol

I also go to the Suzuka 8 Hour Endurance race and I've lost count of the amount R1 going bang literally half way through the race. The majority of the field is made up of Gsxr which is a testament to their reliability. It may be different with the new model but with regards to old model, You've heard the saying You can't polish a turd. I couldn't think of anything more fitting.

Basicaly, +3 rear is the same as going -1 front.... people usualy do -1+2... it really wakes up the bike..... i had +5 rear on my 600 rr wich is the same as going -1+2

Ummmmm. The R1 was in standard mode. A mode is the peak horsepower & throttle response so really the gsxr beat a down tuned map of the R1. Even with the flash std is still tamer than A mode

‘07-‘08 R1’s are faster than pre-2015 crossplanes after 9.000 rpm, almost 190 hp @ crank with 98 RON euro fuel and ram air, great handling, nice brakes. Middle rpm torque delivery could be better ‘though. Overall speaking, a great R1 ! The pre 2015 crossplanes R1s are just souless on high revs
Gsxr has bigger rear sprocket +2 extra teeth having more low end. This must be a non flashed r1 anyway I love mine got the sexiest cross plane r1 on earth! Grabber blue/carbon fiber
My 2009 R1....165 HP AT THE WHEEL. Professionally dyno tuned by a no bullshit race shop. After full break in, ECU unlocked, Bazzaz, full Ti Leo Corsa System, & pump gas. With cams, 184 HP AT THE WHEEL, no head porting whatsoever. The stock engine is choked down with weak cams and corked exhaust, and the stock ECU also limits full power after 12,000 RPM for longevity. So suck it... :?) Hondas, Suzooks, Kwakas, and even the Beemer can't muster much more than stock power after exhaust and tunes or cams....All of these bikes are within a knat's ass of each other, on the dyno, and on the track. Hence close performances, in WSBK, BSB, and Yamaha domination in AMA as of late. Really arguing which one's faster is a moot point.
Hate to break it to ya, but your number after $$$worth of mods is what the bimmer lays down stock(182-186rwhp) depending on dyno and corrections made on dyno. But point being the bimmer stock cranks out those numbers lmfao and it already has a quick shifter. And if your a hardcore racer then no need to spend 3k on an electronics package cuz it already has traction/wheelie control and abs

Dont forghet that the Crossplane have a very large first gear. so if you slow down like that you wont win. Plus dont forget that without the flash never try to race someone in 5 or 6 gear because it dont open 100%
Gsxr 1000 k7-k8 185hp (195hp with SRAD)172kg dry weight, 170-173hp on the wheel. I got 191hp on the weel with mods. For me that R1 sounds like chinese 125cc.

Stefan Lamb Actually none of the modes stock give full power past 12,000 RPM. And A mode only changes how quickly the throttle OPENS...by 25%.
All modes are the same power all the difference is sensitivity. Power modes on r1 is different to the gsxr

What does the +2 mean? Adds top speed ontop of the -1(better acceleration)?
Rear Sprockets___Larger = +acceleration - top speed / Smaller = -Acceleration + top speed ///// Front Sprocket___Larger = - acceleration + top speed / Smaller = + acceleration - top speed ....... I hope this helps ;)

My big bang was too crazy in A mode. Had a full akra system and -1/+2 gearing. Std is still crazy fast!
