  • Took one last ride before hernia surgery and it was a hot and dusty one. Good time to start hanging out at the lake!

The horn is awesome, haha. Good for warning bears actually. I jumped on one of these bikes on a ride recently. They have come a long way but the no clutch thing is still a deal breaker for the nasty riding we do. They break traction too easily in loose or super muddy terrain.

So I weigh 210 without equipment and only changed out the wheels and tires (21 front and 18 back kkrs). Did a 31 mile total trip with a elevation rise 3100 foot climb in elevation and then back down. About half in S or D mode there and the rest in Eco. Made it back with 24%.
If you don’t mind me asking, what are you weighing in at and how much of a difference is the 53 tooth sprocket? I already ordered the chain you posted a link to, it sounds like a definite range increased.
Thank you for sharing all your content, it’s been extremely helpful.
Hands down, this bike is awesome, no going back to the gasser for me. Nothing like finishing a ride and not feeling worn out from the motor shaking underneath you for hours.

I'm weighing in at about 190. The 53 tooth sprocket gives it more zip out of the pocket and for getting over things. Kind of like the difference between d and s mode.
Not only does the roller chain increase the range, but also the immediate power factor when you give it throttle.
Glad I can help with this amazing bike.
I completely agree about the worn out factor! I feel like a young buck again riding this thing!

I had hernia surgery back in 2000. With today's medicine, it's not that bad. I was out building my privacy fence in just a couple days afterwards. Wasn't supposed to be, but it was ok. Let your body tell you if you can pickup your bike.

Sick ride! What chain and sprocket combo are you running? Also any other tips for better range ? Just picked one up and I’m pretty stoked on it.. aloha from Hawai’i🤙🏽

Aloha Samson! I'm super stoked for you on your new ride. They are truly perma grin machines.
I am running a ProX MX roller chain with a 53 tooth KKE sprocket. Lighter rolling mass, ie; light wheels and tubes will give you better range, but will give you headaches in the terrain that you have over there.
I am running thick heavy duty tubes with big tires and am very happy with my range and handleability.

Stumbled across your video. I really enjoyed seeing this raw out on the trails. How would something like this be for a newer rider? I'm thinking of my wife. Only issue I'd think would be that she is very short, right at 5', but the twist and go, and mountain bike style brakes might be great... Any thoughts?

I think this bike would be great for a beginner though I do think her height would be an issue. I sold my Light Bee to a good friend and she is short as well and it is a perfect fit. She loves it! The stock light bee has different power modes like the Ultra Bee. Perfect for beginners.
My older vids are of the Light Bee.

    • @schreddersworld1050
      @schreddersworld1050  Год назад

The short answer is no. I did not switch to the roller chain from the o-ring until I got the 53. I honestly don't know which gearing would be better for range in the dirt. On pavement, I would imagine that the 46 would be better.
