+CreciaCrafts She totally looks like a sassy bull fighter! I'm loving having all these pretty ladies right now. I can't wait for the bling to be added!
I just have to stop at this installment and say: I found you via Stephanie (Lindystitches) and I have "gorged" on your videos in the last day...I was aghast when I saw your first video with your casual, "Ummm, yeah I started stitching and my first project was Santa's Sleigh from Nora Corbett..." and it was absolutely stunning! Then as I was continued to watch and see your conversions and gusto with how you attack all your projects....well...I am just agog. You are sincerely talented. I've been stitching since age 15 and *cough* I'll be 46 this summer. I consider myself pretty savvy on anything stitching and you have burst my bubble on that idea. Impressed doesn't even touch what I am about you. Can't wait to go view your next video. You go girl! Stitch on!
+Vonna Pfeiffer Oh my gosh, you flatter me Vonna! I have a healthy dose of creative curiosity, naivety, and good ol' fashioned beginner's luck haha! Stephanie is fantastic and I'm glad she could help bring more stitchers together. I recently watched your flosstube video and can't wait to see more from you! I think after May is over I will have to revisit your tutorial on a project bag! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos!
+Lisa Robertson Yeah another Washingtonian!! I'm really excited to start her in the next couple of days. Hopefully she doesn't give me too much trouble haha. Thanks for watching!
Year of mermaids all the way!!! I love the idea of converting Red into greens...and now I can't unsee her as a matador. 😂 Your plans look so fun! I'm so excited for maynia...Sunday is taking forever to get here.
+Little Yellow House Crafts Haha! Yeah, she just has that bravado about her, if only I could design a bull to charge at her... Have you started your L&L conversion yet?!
+Abi Bellastitch It is such a striking design! I recently found out that its actually a real helmet! There wasn't much information that I could readily find other than it was made by an unknown Italian artist in the 1500s I think. Thanks for watching!!
I've recently fallen in love with Mirabilia Bluebeard's Princess. Her hair... And her tail... LOVE. And now I can't unsee Red as a matador. Hahaha Bernadette is GORGEOUS. Swoon. Rorschach inkblot charts?!?! Where? What? More details needed. Excited about your starts!
+Emily C (eclecticpossessions) Bluebeard has a mysterious beauty that just kind of creeps up on you. Lol too much daydreaming on my hands, I should just design a bull pattern to add to her. Sidenote, I went to PTP and tried to look at some Veldt, they only had opalescent out so it was the same...but not the same....but it would be awesome. You'd be able to pick the perfect pattern for it :)
So many beautiful plans! Can't wait to see your updates on them. I meant to say in your last video that I'd live to see hints and tips etc for stitching skin. :-)
+Mummula Stitches Oh good :) I have the video ready I think, but I keep thinking "oh I should redo this part, and I forgot to add this"... so it's kind of a mess but I'm adding a big description box to it lol. Only a couple more days till Maynia!!
Yeah, someone else loves the Wichelt linen! I have Merchant Mermaid on the laurel linen and the greens really pop and look lovely. I'm looking forward to your starts and the changes you make.
Love all your plans! Just when I thought I could be happy with my current Mira collection you pull out a couple more mermaids that are awfully tempting! I will be content to watch you stitch them up for now 😊 I think Red would look amazing in an Evergreen conversion 💚 and I agree that Raven Queen needs a bit of an extreme makeover 💙
+Jennifer Harvat I always think that after my most recent Mira purchase I'm going to be set and I won't need anymore unless it's a new one....and then I somehow manage to fall for 5 that I had previously overlooked... the struggle is real!
Woot! Woot! I think I'm starting two Miras for Maynia - I was planning on three, but one of them I kitted last year with just a plain white Lugana, an I feel like I've graduated from that. Your pieces are amazing and I can't wait to see them!
+Trisha @ Three Owl Threads LLC Thanks Trisha! Yeah a Mira totally deserves a little more va-va-voom than white ;) I'm so tempted to just start the Ink Circles I bought from you on my black linen, but that black is playing games with my heart...er eyes...
I'm not doing stitchmaynia but I like watching every ones plans. Yours seems awesome. I love to see what you do with Raven Queen! Red sounds beautiful in greens.
+ScullyMoonX Thanks Vanessa! I'm waiting to see what you do with your Raven Queen! I love that Gloriana velvet night sky. I think now you maybe on your trip, I hope you're having a blast!!
+the evergreen needle I'm been super busy getting ready and stitching as much as I can on the Shades of Turquoise model. I leave this week, I wanted to make a video before I left, but with last minute changes and all I haven't had time :/ I'll for sure be updating IG with pictures. My plans for Raven Queen keep getting more and more ridiculous lol I want to start her, but I also am a bit hesitant since I have plenty of neglected wips that are calling for my attention.
So very much feeling the mermaid love. Yeah baby! Very cool. Squeeeee for Red! Another total yeah baby! You make it extra hard for me to NOT start her once my fabric comes in. I will finish the HAED challenge first, I will, I will, I will... * bites nails *
You were right, love your Maynia plans! but specifically Evergreen! I think DMC 3799 would look great for Bernadette. Maybe 501 or 500...that could be too close to your fabric though. I haven't decided if I'll be participating in Maynia or not but I have so many projects that are already kitted up that I might just have to join everyone. I'll just have to put the fabric on all the scroll rods UGH!
It will be a very Mira month for you! That's cool, the mermaids are fun and relatively quick stitches. I've done 3 and have 1 more ready for beading, and may take a little break from the genre. Guess I'll live vicariously through you!
+Ms. OhSewCrafty I know I've barely worked on the 2 mermaids this month and I feel like they're almost done haha. I love seeing your progress on Siren, I just love all her beading! Loved seeing your vlog update!
I love Witchelt fabric as well. I love that it's stiff. I am doing Red as Red, she looks like an opera heroine about to reach for a top C. I wish I was brave enough to alter patterns as you want to do. Thanks for sharing.
+sara richards Yes! Wichelt is great haha. I find it so much easier to load on the qsnap and have it be straight. I keep struggling to get the belfast straight, its so floppy! You can alter patterns! Start small, that helps build confidence in your "artistic eye" :)
+SleepyKittyStitches Haha yeah, I'm making some minor adjustments to her bust but I'm afraid to do anything in her torso/hip area. Might have to just accept her rigidness haha
So glad to see you are starting a Chatelaine. I have one I'm kitting up hopefully to participate in the July 22 Specialty stitch Sal. Are you joining that one day SAL?
+halfstitch cross stitch Oh fantastic! I saw your update talking about kitting yours up, I think you already received a lot of advice for places to purchase supplies from right? I only need to buy the beads but I think I will wait a few months after starting all these "supply heavy" projects ;) I hadn't heard of this SAL, I'll have to look into it. I need a good kick in the pants to start practicing all the stitches for the Chatelaine!
All of your plans are beautiful! You picked such pretty/amazing patterns :) I can't wait to see your progress. Are you thinking of posting weekly WIP videos during maynia?
+Kaitlin in Stitches Thank you! I hadn't really thought about it just because I'm not doing a full maynia. I'm planning on spacing out the projects throughout the month so...Possibly 2 updates for next month depending on how busy life is, or just an end of month update as usual.
"I've recently come to accept that that's just her face." That would be the ultimate mean girl burn for a high school frienemy! Or maybe, "Girl, you are looking murky today." CHATELAAAAAIN! That's going to be crazy beautiful. As is Bernadette, what an awesome pattern. I think what you were trying to say about the Raven Queen needing "fluidity" is that she needs a little junk in her trunk. Queenie needs to enjoy a milkshake or two. Ahhhh what's the secret plan?! Flosstube cliff hanger!!
+Olivia B LOL! I guess that did sound like a line out of a Burn Book haha. Raven Queen does need some milkshakes, get a little bubble butt going, maybe I'll give her some hip implants. I forgot to mention that she may also receive some corrective boob surgery, because while it is more natural to have uneven boobs, I'd rather hers look more symmetrical. Not to totally objectify her or anything....
Yup, I guess I'm doing maynia, this basically cemented it.Love all the mermaidness, I need to start on a mermaid. I'm officially going to go crazy. And yay knightmare he's so handsome and broody. I think maybe 3799 or 3371 would work instead of black for your other one. And I'm pretty sure you can't do too many miras, bring them on!
I want to do White Nights soooo bad! I bought the pattern, you know just in case it gets retired or something, but it's going to be SOOOOO expensive to kit up. I'll have to do it a little at a time once I get my new job going.
+AshleighEM I know thats why I bought the pattern too!! I think I only have 2-4 of the called for silks, I changed everything else to try to drop the cost. It's a little tricky though bc I realized when getting a cotton instead of a silk theres a big difference in the amount of thread in each skein, so I did my best to guestimate but I may even have more than I need. So if you aren't dead set on using the called for materials, stay tuned!
you might find when you do the bs on bluebird that it changes everything without surgery. Did you ever see that pic of mine with the three images of a Nora Cherub? It's on IG @sewscrapmuse. I laughed myself stupid while changing it out.
+Paula King Lol, I looked up the photo, and I love your description haha! Yeah sometimes when you fiddle too much with the pattern it just makes you more confused and lost. And yes, BS makes a world of difference!!
Can't wait to see your green conversion for red. Hope you have a fun stitch Maynia!
I love your choices, can't wait to see your progress.
I love ur choices !!! All the best in May 😻😻😻😻😻
I've always thought Red looked like a bull fighter! Love all of your plans! I'd love to see a full Mira-Maynia!
+CreciaCrafts She totally looks like a sassy bull fighter! I'm loving having all these pretty ladies right now. I can't wait for the bling to be added!

haha, good point with Red's cape. You should stick a bull on there
Awesome Maynia plans!! Excellent lineup you got going on there, Miras rule :)
Great plans! I love all the Miras! :) xxx
I will not tire of your Miras! Can't wait to see your conversion ideas...no pressure...haha!
+running stitch Haha! I'm really nervous about Raven queen, but if I can get it to work I think its going to be amazing...or decent, you know....
So many beautiful ladies and one frightful knight! Can't wait to see your progress. I am stitching my "Emerald Mermaid" on Valor. It's a nice color!
+BlimeyCatStitches It is! I forgot she was on that fabric, it's been so long, can't wait to see you do more of her next month! And maybe some cats ;)
Love all of your patterns! Can't wait to see Evergreen, (being a Washingtonian myself!), and the mermaids!
+Lisa Robertson Yeah another Washingtonian!! I'm really excited to start her in the next couple of days. Hopefully she doesn't give me too much trouble haha. Thanks for watching!
I love your stitch maynia, or it's better to say Myramaynia :) can't wait to see your mermaids and conversions. Good luck!!!
+Анна Куриёва Yes I am going a bit Mirabilia crazy haha. Thanks so much for watching!!
I love the way you put that another year of wisdom. perfect
+Novice Sticher Haha yes, it has a more positive spin to it :) Thanks for watching!
Year of mermaids all the way!!! I love the idea of converting Red into greens...and now I can't unsee her as a matador. 😂

+Little Yellow House Crafts Haha! Yeah, she just has that bravado about her, if only I could design a bull to charge at her... Have you started your L&L conversion yet?!
I have! I'll be showing her off in my next video, which should be up in a few days. Stay tuned! :)
Knightmare is on my to-do pile also! I've wanted to do it for forever and a day already. I can't wait to see your start and progress on it.
LOVE.

+SleepyKittyStitches Haha yeah, I'm making some minor adjustments to her bust but I'm afraid to do anything in her torso/hip area. Might have to just accept her rigidness haha
I think Bernadette would look great in a navy.

I'm thinking moss, fawn or gray for bernadette
for Bernadette what about a deep eggplant purple?
+Cristal Buckner Ooo that could be really pretty! I'll have to go scavenge through the DMC colors and see what I find :)

A green conversion for Red... YAY! I've been wanting to see that for a long time.
+Suzanne Smith I hope I can deliver! It's so hard to visualize the threads but hopefully it turns out!
