Saudi was fine when Hearn & Matchroom were in bed with the Saudis.
Now that Eddie backed the wrong Arab, Matchroom employee Ade now questions whether the Saudi's are bad for the sport.
Bingo! Bitter and twisted over at that side 🤣
I think with quite a few situations like this Eddie was first but it was also a terrible idea. Who really wants the best fights happening in Saudi. No atmosphere, no drinking, no legacy the fighters are the only winners in this scenario. This freak show setup works better imo than the actual fights that matter.

Why on earth are these guys still considering AJ top of the bill? Hes been found out and instead of just accepting that, carry on like its 2016? AJs menatity shows us all that he wont listen to anyone. The problem is himself, no one else. Ever since he was pressured by an old Vlad we all knew he struggled with presure. The only reason why he won, was Vlad held back. Ruiz basically panniked AJ when no one else did. AJ has never got over that. Sad but true.
Ade wasn't saying this when Matchroom were putting on Joshua fights in the kingdom.

It’s a cross over fight and nobody is interested in it which is why Warren had stacked the undercard. If the undercard wasn’t as good as it is the event would of flopped. Look at all Frank warren events he never puts on good undercard.

Agree about the card. I imagine there are many people same as me who weren't going to buy this until they saw the overall show. Now it makes for an entertaining evening with a bottle of wine and some grub to go with it.
The politics of Saudi Arabia is ugly.
For me it is only a problem for Heavyweight boxing, its not stopped any other fights being made as far as I am aware anyway.

The main disappointment fan wise is the crowds are lame compared to the UK. No singing/chanting etc and very quiet.

Boxing should be done like a league of 10. Top 10 all foght each other every 3 months winner gets the belts, bottom 2 relegated to 11-20 etc etc.

Boxing should be loyal to countries like UK and USA etc. The Fury vs ngannou is fine to be in Saudi but undisputed and other top fights shouldn't be in these Islamic countries, they haven't earned it and throwing ridiculous amounts of money around is hurting boxing imo.

It’s only working atm as fury is banned from the US due to his connections with the Irish cartel. It’s money which I think some people will realise isn’t everything especially when lacking passion, atmosphere, and the legacy of UK US boxing. I remember the WBSS being terrible you could hear a pin drop. Same with the Joshua Ruiz fight. I think they will be better sticking with the freak shows like this misfit event.
USA wasn't a problem when they had their money, UK isn't a problem when they have the money. Saudi have the money now.

Reading some of these comments makes me laugh - 90% of you have never been to a live fight - Saudi is a curse and a saviour they have the cash , we get to see the fight at a decent times but the atmosphere is weird , I don’t care about star list and who’s there - the thought of AJ v fury not being in the U.K. is bloody annoying and unthinkable - all this matchroom v queensberry v top rank v pbc v wasserman v boxxer promoters bitching and blaming is getting old , yeah business is business but we fans loose out so why people are cheering for one is beyond me.
