I went to Suit Supply after having seen the positive reviews from Aaron and other youtube channels. I am 5'11 and 240 lbs with relatively broad shoulders. I don't usually consider myself a, "Big and tall" suit buyer. They didn't have any sample jackets at the King of Prussia store in my size, so they measured me and made a special order. When it came in, the sport coat looked good on me, until I tried to raise my arms. More than 20-30 degrees and it was binding across my back. The manager kept explaining to me that this was a, "European cut" and was meant to fit like this. After getting some alterations, it still did not fit well in the shoulders. I explained that I usually like to feel comfortable enough in a jacket that I can sit and eat without having to remove it. It felt like I would pop a seam if I tried to use a knife and fork. A young sales lady advocated for me that the cut was wrong. We re-ordered in one of their wider fits and a size or two larger. (I think from a 50 to a 62R?) This fit slightly better, but was still a bit tight in the shoulders. After the negative attitudes from the manager previously, I decided this was as good as it would get and left with it. I don't think I'll be back. I have bought shoes and pocket squares there and liked them. The salesman that sold me the shoes, and the young lady that advocated for making a new jacket in a different size/cut where the only salespeople that made me comfortable. The manager and other employees came off as condescending and tried to convince me that Fit was their domain and did not want my input. I looked at shirts, but what I saw on the shelf only went to a 17 neck at their largest. Is Suit Supply more of a thin and small vs a big and tall?
I think Suit Supply has a South Euro essence to their suits, so they are better for smaller folk. I'm kinda afraid to deal with them being I'm a taller fellow myself.
