The GDR anthem is literally the most beautiful anthem ever. Gives me chills every time I listen to it and also makes me feel nostalgic about the GDR even though I'm Spanish and I'm 17 haha

This is even better than the current German anthem. The third stanza of Das Lied der Deutschen is used as the current German anthem, and a part of an anthem takes away much of the original meaning. That is why this anthem should have been adopted by the West when Germany was reunited in 1990.

The Bulgarian and Czechoslovak anthems are both really good! There's just something appealing about dramatic communist music.
It's not even that Communist. They sing about the mountains/plains/rivers in the first stanza, then the chorus goes "dear motherland, you are so beautiful", then in the second stanza they sing about the fallen fighters (for the liberation of Bulgaria, unrelated to Communism) and only in the third its about Communism.
Source: I am Bulgarian. Also we kept that anthem after the transition in the late 80s.

I'm an Afghan, and Afghanistan under communism along with Soviet backing had a promising future until the West interfered and ruined everything. Afghanistan under communism was a million times better than both the Taliban regime and the Western-backed "democratic" regime. And of course, the West twists the story by calling it a "Soviet invasion" - the same accusation the West made on Russia's involvement in Syria and Ukraine. As an Afghan, even though the Soviets lost in the end, I still appreciate them for helping to defend my country from U.S/Western imperialism.

Even as someone who absolutely despised the GDR Regime and especially the Stasi, I admit that this Anthem is the better one, wish we could’ve combined our Anthems into one, representing our Unity

Trei Culori was not the anthem from 1947 to 1989. Romania had two other anthems before: "Zdrobite catuse in urma raman" and "Te slavim, Romanie".

Socialist Republic of Romania was from 1977 to 1989, while from 1947 to 1977 was People's Republic of Romania. From 1947 to 1989 Romania changed 4 different national anthems.
The DDR anthem is beautiful and the Vietnam anthem is VERY beautiful

I have to say, I had no idea that there were so many socialist countries in the world, especially all the countries in Africa I had no idea about. I really like the lyrics to the Vietnamese one; if you have defeated the most powerful military in the history of the world then you can be proud of yourself.
Interestingly enough, these are just the Marxist-Leninist ones, there is an even broader list of socialist states, a fair amount of which thrived under socialist or communist rule
I mean vietnam barely won any direct battles against american forces but they are genuises for winning and prioritizing in the public reputation front that ultimately caused american withdrawal. While again they still beat the americans the war wasnt a one little guy falcon punching a giant and defeating him is more like one little guy punching small weak punches and complaining to the people until the people and the press ultimately forces the giant out. Im reading into this too hard yes vietnam won but im just saying america definately did well in vietnam in terms of their ability to fight. i may sound like im de crediting the vietnamese victory but the vietnamese should still feel proud about their victory. but what im trying to say is the strongest military in the world still has is un beatable title even in the vientam war but the vietnamese are clever enough to outsmart them.

well, the video said that it's the anthem of Socialist Republic of VN (SRV), which essentially is the VN after 1975, before that there are the Democratic Reppublic of VN (The North) and of course the Republic of VN (The South), so there was no SRV or it's anthem before 1975, and only the North used it as their anthem since 1945, not the South
@@TK-oj2ml the South Vietnamese sang “Liberate the South” and Republic of Vietnam’s anthem is actually a communist song, arbitrarily changed the lyrics without the permission of the composer and the song was actually called "The Call to Youths" and was edited by the Republic of Vietnam to be "The Call to the Citizens". The interesting fact is that the composer who wrote this song is also the same person who wrote “Liberate the South”.

East Germany has the best. It symbolises unification and peace. Hell, even the name "Auferstanden Aus Ruinen" or "Risen From Ruins" literally correlates to what happened to Germany following World War Two. It rose up from ruins. In my opinion, Germany should've used Auferstanden Aus Ruinen when they reunified.

The GDR's anthem, 'Auferstanden aus Ruinen' is truly beautiful. Even better than the USSR's in my opinion.
Apparently the GDR leadership asked Helmet Kohl to add the lyrics of the GDR's anthem to the new unified German anthem but Kohl refused and East Germany wasn't exactly in a position to make demands. 🙁
It would've been much better if they took the anthem of the GDR. The text isn't even openly socialist, it just talks about rebuilding and keeping peace. I think it would've fit very well, even for a non-socialist Germany. And the music is much better than the current German anthem.

And the "Always has been" joke is about 2 astronauts in space with guns so it has something to do with the race to the moon in the Cold War.

Poland was one of the first countries where communism collapsed. It was on June 4, 1989, when the Solidarity party won partially free elections. Since then Poland started very well expand.
"Solidarity" was an exclusively Anglo-Saxon project, created with the direct participation of Britain & the USA and with their money.
And then they made a NATO "eastern showcase" out of Poland.
NATO simply wanted to: 1. destroy the Warsaw bloc; 2. "entice NEW MEMBERS INTO THE ALLIANCE" to counter the USSR and used Poland as a "bait". Therefore, the West began to flood Poland with subsidies, interest-free loans and preferences.
And only thanks to this help Poland was able to "develop rapidly". Therefore, Poland does not have ANY OWN MERITS in its "rapid development".
This will become clearly visible now, in the context of the economic crisis, when will the EEC stop subsidizing the countries-leech, such as Poland.
