The cockpit thing is one of the more embarrassing moments of original footage not matching Sentai footage, and one of the few that I believe needs an actual explanation. Also I think a more concrete reason for switching to the Turbo Powers needs to be given. Maybe the power of the Zeo Crystal can't be transferred easily, thus requiring a new set of Morphers to bring Justin onto the team, along with needing the Turbo Powers to pilot the Turbo Zords. Literally the only reasons we have for the change in powers are running out of Ohranger footage to use, and having new toys to sell.
Maybe Zordon modified the cockpits after the events of the movie. The Zords were brand new, and maybe the first battle revealed problems with the original design.
I've been working on a theory explaining the shift into Turbo for a while now. -- Zordon knew about Dark Specter's rise to power some time before Zeo. He knew that the final battle of Good vs Evil would happen not on Earth but in Space. He made an arrangement with the director of NASADA to build a special space shuttle, which is why it was so easy for the rangers to use it and why it was designed to combine into the Astro Megazord. As Alpha said, it was all part of his master plan. That was actually Plan B. -- Plan A involved the Zeo Crystal. Since it's always getting stronger, at some point there should be enough energy that you could power two ranger teams at the same time. They can't be exactly the same because of the "no duplicate powers" rule, but they can draw from the same source. -- During Zeo, he asked Billy to create the Turbo powers by studying Zeo, which is why the Turbo Rangers have the same colors. This is also why Billy kept disappearing during fights, leading some to think he was the Gold Ranger. He had a secret lab in the Power Chamber where he needed to run scans and measure energy levels while the others were fighting. Zordon asked him to keep it a secret from the others because they already had enough to worry about with the Machine Empire. Billy was working with limited time and resources, so he had to use some Earth technology to fill in the gaps. This is why they had the cars theme. -- In the movie, there's a scene where the rangers all stand around a colored circle and put their hands on it. This was the final piece of Billy's design, draining some of the energy from the individual sub-crystals to energize their new powers and Zords. -- Zordon knew that the Turbo powers would never be as strong as Zeo. It's just a low-quality copy, but it was enough to defend Earth on a temporary basis. This is something that always bothered me about Zordon's character: he's not the kind of mentor who would just retire in the middle of a fight -- unless it wasn't retirement. He was going to a bigger, more important battle and needed the most powerful weapon available: the Zeo Crystal. He took it with him to Eltar to help fight Dark Specter.
@@John73John That's probably what happened all things considered, only thing missing would have been the Zero Rangers returning in Space, with their retirement being a cover for preparations for the larger battle.

I love the season and I will honestly agree to that as well mmpr 1 and 3 might be worse in areas and zeo had its own issues but overall turbo was the worse and honestly weakest power ranger series for well decades until overdrive and the neo Saban series appeared imo.
And too this day Turbo is the most confusing and WTF in the series. Cause Zeo was the best after MMPR ended. The worst part is not explaining why the Zeo power were replaced.
I might be in the minority but I really like the Zords. Maybe it's for nostalgic reasons as it was my introduction to PR. But I can acknowledge the issues and plotholes the season has especially with the bridge between turbo and zeo. I like them but Zeo still my favorite lol
There's a slight problem with that. If i remember right, Kat's Zeo morpher shorts out due to her falling into water during the movie. This in turn disables her Zeo power. Unless there's extra morphers and the crystal also wasn't shorted out itself, then the power is gone for good.
In MMPR the Orb of Doom (if i remember right) erased the Dino, Thunder and Ninja/Shogun powers plus the associated zords that weren't already destroyed when the rangers were turned into kids. This essentially means that no ranger powers exist anymore and it may have also removed the link to the Morphing Grid that the MMPR rangers had as well. Though they were restored many times over by many allies.
@@cvmaniac7286 it wasn't that the powers were erased, it was that the Ninja Coins were tied to them at that point which is how they kept their memories but their Ninja powers weren't meant for someone that young.
I was in 5th-6th grade when Zeo launched, so I didn’t watch it at that point. The only reason I knew Turbo existed was because the movie was advertised. I just remember thinking how lame it was that the rangers went from having mechanical prehistoric creatures to cars. Just cars. Watch out for a flat tire, rangers 🙄
The problem with Turbo is the narrative did not match what we saw on screen. In regard to powers and abilities the Zeo powers look to be more powerful than the Turbo powers, and the Turbo powers seem way weaker than Tommy's Green Ranger powers regardless of his claim in the movie. The same holds true of the Turbo Megazord as it seems to only be on par with the Thunder Megazord, even though it's supposed to be more powerful than the Super Zeo Megazord. Personally I found the car theme disappointing when compared to the likes of dragons, mystical ninja spirits and the legendary Zeo crystal etc that we saw in previous seasons.
never did zordon or anyone say the trbo megazord was the most powerful zord to that point. when zordon gave the rangers their turbo powers he simply says "yo will need new powers eqipped with the power of turbo." he never says they are more powerful, just new power. going off of his rule about never escalating a battle he clearly saw divatox as less of a threat than the macchine empire. now what would have been cool is if tommy and his team remained and the same events playout and goldgoyle destroys the zords if the team got out their zeo zords.
I know this isn't power rangers but I think the turbo ranger zord from Sentai turbo ranger could be the power rangers turbo megazord AKA car ranger mecha imo
I know they took Zeo out, because they just ran out of Japanese footage to use. But, I hated going from Zeo to Turbo if I'm honest. Felt like a massive downgrade.
When power rangers turbo was released I watched it but I wasn't feeling it but I kept on until space came around. At that point the shows were coming in so slow I completely lost all interest. Honestly mighty Morphin was the best.
I like the theory that the Zeo Powers got too powerful to safely use, which is why they swapped to Turbo.
i think they took the zeo powers and reused them for turbo somehow

I might be in the minority but I really like the Zords. Maybe it's for nostalgic reasons as it was my introduction to PR. But I can acknowledge the issues and plotholes the season has especially with the bridge between turbo and zeo. I like them but Zeo still my favorite lol
They has POWER⚡RANGERS Exclusive Models!
Next on full story of dai Shi
Can you do the story of Dino thunder as a whole
My head Canon is that maligore is Dark spectres brother who was more psychotic and thus didnt rise up to monarch are evil
One of my favorite megazord n season 😮!!!
So since nothing happened to the zeo powers hypothetically they could be used by another team in another season
Yeah I guess... id like to see that...
There's a slight problem with that. If i remember right, Kat's Zeo morpher shorts out due to her falling into water during the movie. This in turn disables her Zeo power. Unless there's extra morphers and the crystal also wasn't shorted out itself, then the power is gone for good.
Astro Megazord next! In Space was soooo much better than Turbo!
Never understood how Justin could morph but the team couldn't morph back in mmpr when they were turned into kids
@@MattZRJSRoxy I did not actually know that, huh.
Man…..when are we going to get these in the Lightning Collection/ZAP.
If anyone does want a idea on these
Watch carranger
Billy built the Zords
The Turbo Megazord Is powered by the Zeo Crystals that's why It's the most powerful zrord yet TJ blew It up In season 2 of Turbo😂😂
I'm interested in Roboracer and warrior wheel
I never liked the turbo zords, and i didn’t like the zeo zords for the most part either. It didn’t stop me from watching tho
thunder megazord and shougun megazord?
I know this isn't power rangers but I think the turbo ranger zord from Sentai turbo ranger could be the power rangers turbo megazord AKA car ranger mecha imo
Hey bud, you never did the thunder zords.....
Hay love your work but can you squatt and babu
I know they took Zeo out, because they just ran out of Japanese footage to use. But, I hated going from Zeo to Turbo if I'm honest. Felt like a massive downgrade.
Please do in space
To be honest, i never liked the turbo megazord's spinning attack. It made me dizzy
Never a big fan of the turbo rangers but it had its okay parts
firrst canon movie zords
Tourbo!!!
The Turbo story is terrible. Not backstory. And it was rushed. Zords and helmets looked good, but not the suits.
Elite
This was the first and only time I watched power rangers so I like it but PR in general isn't for me.
Escape hatch in the head?
When power rangers turbo was released I watched it but I wasn't feeling it but I kept on until space came around. At that point the shows were coming in so slow I completely lost all interest. Honestly mighty Morphin was the best.
