  • This is our time-lapse on another challenging construction: The Newark Hotel, on Changsha, China with a 48 hours deadline.
    en.broad.com for more information.
    Level 9 Earthquake Resistance: diagonal bracing structure, light weight,
    steel construction, passed level 9 earthquake resistance testing.
    6x Less Material: even though the construction materials are much
    lighter(250kg/m2) than the traditional materials(over 1500kg/m2), the floors
    and walls are solid with sure footedness, airtight and sound-proofing.
    5x Energy Efficient: 150mm thermal insulation for walls and roofs, triple
    glazed plastic windows, external solar shading, heat insulation, fresh
    air heat recovery, LED lighting, yearly HAVC A/C energy consumption
    equivalent to 7 liters oil.
    20x Purification: after 3 levels of purification, the purification efficiency
    for fresh air reaches 95%-99.9%; air exchanged 1-2.5 times per hour, and
    indoor air is 20x cleaner than out door air.
    1% Construction Waste: all components are factory made, construction
    waste, mainly package materials, result from on site set-up only and
    amount to 1% of the total weight of the building.
    This is the first building in human history which combines almost all
    environmental friendly, comfortable and secure elements. So, we call it:
    Sustainable Building.
    Enjoy.

  • @Iguana93
    @Iguana93 6 лет назад +5

    Well, not to say it wasn't fast, but all the prefab parts didn't grow on trees. There must be hundreds of individual beams and profiles and manufacturing all of them must have taken at least several months (or a huge number of workers). Assembly is just the last part of the process.

    • @DivineAtheistWannabe
      @DivineAtheistWannabe 4 года назад

      That part doesn't matter. What matters is the construction part of it imo.
      The materials are likely already sitting somwhere, whether they decide to make this building or not.
      I'm not an expert in construction, but I assume this helps to finish a project quicker and to reduce risk and costs of a long term drawn out project. If your project is 3 years long, you don't know what might happen during that time and things could go to custard for various reasons. No one can predict the future.
      If they decide to abandon this project before construction, I'm sure the pre fabricated materials could be easily used for a different project instead of having to commit so fully to it. And since it only takes 2 days to assemble, I'm sure things wouldn't change so much in that time.
      And also it's just more efficient to make something quicker. Saves on labor and less inconvenience to everyone in the general area, instead of having to walk past a construction site every day for hte next 3 years.

    • @TheCSJones
      @TheCSJones 8 лет назад +1

      Tod Wilkinson WTF. I'm American. I just think most high-rises from the 60s-80s are boring boxes, except for a few exceptions like the Sears Tower and the LA US Bank Tower. The ones from the Art Deco period, as well as ones built in the 90s and after, are better. It's just my opinion. Chill.

    • @TheCSJones
      @TheCSJones 8 лет назад

      Tod Wilkinson Oh yeah, I know that building (just not by name, until now) and it's nice. I never said EVERY 60s-80s skyscraper was bad, just that the overall trend was more towards buildings like, say the XYZ buildings in New York.

A daytime mostly lasts for 14 hours in Changsha where the building was built. There are more problems to the time in the video, see if you can find it.

    Most construction sites build floor by floor and also have at MAX 2 cranes.. here we see they build it "frame by frame" methodically and they use 6 cranes. Also they work day and night and they have tracks coming hourly..
