    An alternate route where all the climbing is done at the beginning is to park at the top of Stenner Creek road and ride up to Cuesta Grade. Ride up Stenner creek trail to elevator, past the Eucs and then up Shooters. Descend Botanicals and Morning Glory. I love ending a ride with a downhill.

      That makes sense! I always prefer ending with a downhill and that was one of my negatives about this place, except I'm sure that ride up the grade is tough, that is steep but at least the bottom part is paved.

      The ride up Shooters is much easier than the ride out of Chrome. 😊

      I did quite a bit of walking on the way out of Chrome haha. And hiked up Shooters this time after the mechanical issue with my bike. A lot of walking this day unfortunately.

      Gotta go tubeless if you haven't already!

      @@HobbyGoblinTyler seems like he already went tubeless, otherwise he could just swap in a new tube and go. i go with tubes, and if i have a flat i just swap in a new tube in 5 minutes, but if you're tubeless and the hole's too big your screwed

      Yeah that's fair, I've had really bad luck with tubes when I've used them but if they work for you more power to ya.

      I'm riding on my 2020 Santa Cruz Bronson. I've had it for about 3 years now I believe, my first full suspension. It's full 27.5 and I've been looking at maybe getting an enduro 29er in the next year or so but it's tough to decide which bike, would love to do some demo's at bike parks this summer. Thanks for watching!

    this happened to my '19 SJ (loose rear hub). Bearing was trashed = time for a new wheel. Curious which cassette you have on back, is it a SRAM NX by chance?

    • @HobbyGoblinTyler
      @HobbyGoblinTyler  5 месяцев назад

      Yep that's exactly what happened, bike shop said it made more sense to just get a whole new wheel rather than do all the work to replace the hub! I have SRAM GX actually.

      @@HobbyGoblinTyler Interesting. Mine was an NX which uses an HG hub. When it broke, I figured it was a good time to upgrade to a GX cassette which uses the XD hub body. I was hoping my new XD wheel will be a more reliable design, but sounds like that may not necessarily be the case. Oh well, fingers crossed. Have a good one
