I have just bought a Clarke table lift which is coming in a couple of weeks and I can't wait. It will allow me to work on my bikes again due to arthritis stopping me working on the floor. The Clarke has a 2.2m long table which was a main factor for me as I have a couple of big sports tourers that need a long table. It's also wide enough to use paddock stands but the downside is it will take up a lot of space, so I will have to plan the garage better. Great upload, I'm impressed that the sealey looks better made and thought out, in some areas, and ideal for smaller bikes.
I have this one, upgraded the front clamp , also remember not to leave the bike supported by the hydraulics, get it to working height and insert the locking bar and then release the hydraulic pressure, it will save the seals.
Nice! To get my K100 project up on the centre stand when on the bench i use the scissor lift to raise the bike high enough so that i can just drop the centre stand down and then lower it back down on the stand and remove the lift. Seems to work pretty well and much easier, might help if need to access the underside of the engine.
Congrats, what a great addon to your new workshop 👍 you can easily extend it if you feel for it. Nice that you found a scizzor lift, I think they are much more sturdy than the ones with parallel legs. Just keep on, I am sure you will reach your goal getting 1000 subs pretty soon (I can assure it's great fun when it happens, I know because I have had the same goal as you, and guess what happened today 😋)
I've just bought the same lift and paid £550 which is worth every penny if it means I don't have to grovel around on the floor anymore. I've been put off in the past by how much room they take up versus how often I would use it but I've unboxed it and it's nice and compact just right for my trailies, besides I turn 64 next year and I'm getting a bit creaky!
Well done on a great video. I have had one of these for years and the only time it gave me a problem was when I put an overweight bike on it and blew the seals which were available from Seeley. I agree about the problem with using a centre stand which is why I extended the front by about a foot using timber to allow me to roll it past the front clamp then lift it into position using the centre stand. I also added several more U bolts for additional straps. All in all an excellent ramp. Did I miss where you gave the price paid?. Mine was about £400 a number of years aga.
Nice. I’ve been looking at the Clarke one from Machine Mart for around £580, it looks a lot longer than yours and has a removable plate in the middle for working on the rear wheel. I don’t think I have enough room for either really.
Hey, but if you have a bike you have to park it somewhere anyway? Perhaps you could just use it as your parking slot - or perhaps you are parking outdoors... 😌
i got the clarke one...the manual one and it is reassuring to have the extra length but this sealey one looks good for a slightly smaller workshop. they are a god send though to preserve your back etc.
Got the same lift table but not sealey branded , the supplied wheel clamp is much better though , got it new for £300 , got same scissor lift as you to lift rear wheel . Lifts my Matchless g3ls no problem
It looks a good bit of kit, I really want a ramp but need to clear out my garage a bit first as no room to swing a cat. How does getting the bike on a centre stand work with the front wheel chock thing? My bike rolls backwards when I put it on it's centre stand! I think once I have sorted my garage, something like this could be really handy as it isn't too big.
I think it's off centre to accommodate for different sized wheels, given that only one side of the clamp moves. I've not found it to be too much of an issue a year down the line.
Great review, quick question do you think an xmax 300 would fit....i know im being lazy but my thought s it should do it fine but wondered if anyone else on here has used it for one or similar sized scooteer?
I have seen a lift for just a few hundred euros, that has sort of an extension rail you can put to the back. The weight limit on that was quite low though. Maybe 300kg only, which is not enough for my bike.... well.. as if I had a garage anyway :D
I can see the shortness of it being a problem when reinstalling a rear wheel, there's no way to put something under the wheel to take the weight off in order to line up the axle properly

Looks good man. I was surprised about how short it is (that’s what she said). A great addition for sure though.
Looks great, easy to assemble, and reasonably priced - well done!! Looking forward to 2022.

Great shout!
Nice one, Dylan!

Good review Euan, seems a solid bit of kit for the money. Cheers mate

Can I ask where you got the unbranded version please?
Thanks

Well done on being so close to 1k subs, really good going for the first year at it! :-)
I did the same with the wheel clamp but both ways round it still isn't centre . Any suggestions or do i have to take the hacksaw to it??

you missed a perfect opportunity for Benny Hill soundtrack....:P

There's always a way 😉
I like it what’s the max weight
325kg I believe
Martins bargains do the same in red 800 lbs it's £345 from that other site eBay
Read the instructions why don’t ya
That's no fun.
too short to work on sports bikes.
Frankly that’s not really big enough. I would be very unlikely to trust that. The Clarke unit is so much better. Longer, sturdier. Nope not for me
